Once I caught up to him, I was out of breath.
“Xavier” I yelled but he didn’t hear me.
I flew past him, and tried to stop but failed by falling on to the concrete.
“What the hell” Xavier said grabbing my board.
“I need to give you something,” I said. I wrote, ‘dare to be the thing you dream’ and handed it to Xavier, “Don’t read it or look at it until I leave.”
“Well, then” he said holding out his hand. I grabbed his hand, and felt pain. I looked at my hand and saw blood. I got blood onto his hand, and my head started to hurt. I touched my head and looked at my hand. More blood; I started to felt dizzy, and pasted out.
I woke up in Xavier’s arms, and he leant down. I watched him lean in and he kissed me.
I quickly sat up, and saw Jonas come to my side.
“What happened?” I asked.
“You hit your head, twice,” Jonas said smiling at me.
“Oh, how long have we been here?” I asked.
“You’ve been here a whole day, and once we get home you’ll have to go to bed because it’s 8 P.M.” He said and touched my hands.
“Do I have to go to school tomorrow?” I asked.
“Of course you do” Jonas said and smiled.
“You suck” I said and looked at a doctor come into the room. I grabbed my phone from my brother’s hands and listened to music. The doctor asked me to get up, and so I did. My muscles felt stiff, and my leg hurt.
“The second time you fell you hurt a nerve so you’re going to have to walk a lot.” The doctor said, “You can go home, and here are some pain killers.”
“Who got me here?” I asked.
“We don’t know, but when he saw your provisional permit we got your name. So we called your Dad, and he came,” the doctor said.
“He’s my brother” I said and smiled.
“Oh sorry,” The doctor said.
“No, it’s fine. I’m like a second dad to her.” Jonas said and I nodded. My head started hurting so I stopped, and Jonas helped me into a wheel car, “Here are your crutches.”
I grabbed them, and he took me to the front door. I got up, and walked to the car. It hurt, but the crutches helped. I went to bed, and got ready for school. It was hard, but I did it.
“I signed you up for salsa dancing. The doctor said it would be good for six months.” Jonas said right as he stopped in front of the school.
“Really?” I said and hugged him, “I’m not happy about it, but whatever.”
I walked out, and walked into school. I went to class after class trying to talk with people, but that ignored me. It sucked, and I tried to keep my cool. I was super sensitive since I’ve been taking pain killers. When it was lunch time I decided to work up the nerve to apologize.
“Douglas, I am sorry for hitting you. I realized that you are a good guy because you never hit me back, and you are smart because you knew if you got up I would punch you again. Peter, I am sorry for hurting your best friend, and for slapping you. Charlotte, I am sorry for hitting your boyfriend. I hope when you all are ready to forgive then please tell me.” I said and started to walk away to get my lunch, and to ignore them ignoring me. I saw Marie Douglas at the other side of the cafeteria looking at Peter. I got up on their table and looked at her.
