Chapter 25: Reasons

Your POV

'So, you've developed a technique that can increase your strength and speed, but decreases stamina?' I hear the voice say. 'Well, technically it doesn't decrease your stamina, it just puts immense strain on the muscles. So, after you use it your basically finished if it doesn't work. And I'm not able to contain it for more than a few minutes.' I respond to it. 'It seems to be an extremely risky move. I'm not sure how it would perform in battle, if it fails you lose the battle.' I sigh knowing she's right. 'I know, but I have a feeling I'm going to need it against Zaheer.' Just then the door flys open. I see Sue with a worried look on her face.

Sue: "M/N come quickly, you need to see this." I walk out and follow her, my body finally feels normal again as I follow Sue. She leads me to a room with a large map in the center.

You: "This looks like a war room?" I say looking at Sue.

Sue: "That's because it is a war room." Oh.

You: "Sue, what's going on?"

Korra: "Zaheer assassinated the Earth Queen!" She says throwing her arms in the air. "He's trying to bring balance to the world by bringing chaos!" Wait, oh, should I tell them? "M/N we need to go get this guy. He's going after world leaders." Again, I feel like I should tell them.

You: "Uhhh..."

Korra: "What is it M/N?"

You: "I uh, really don't care that he killed her." I say shrugging.

Korra: "What!? Are you insane?!" Oh, she has no idea how insane I can be.

You: "Korra, she was one of the people who tried to have me killed. She said if she couldn't use me, nobody could. She ordered assassins to kill me. So, I could care less if she died." I say shrugging.

Korra: "Ok, so what happens when he tries to kill Fire Lord Izumi, or Sue... or my dad..." I look down and sigh.

You: "He won't get to them. I protect my family." She seems to lighten up a bit. "So, where was his last known sighting?"

Sue: "He left going Northwest out of Ba-Sing-Se." Wait... He wants to bring balance by chaos... but to do that, he needs to throw the world out of balance, and this guy seems to be the type to go for the kill. I look at the map, what's Northwest of Ba-Sing-Se that could throw the world out of balance forever, but also be easy enough for the four of them to take over? I continue to study the map... Oh no.

You: "Korra, did you find any new airbenders?" She looks up from the map and nods.

Korra: "Yea, around 20 of them." If they are where I think they are, we could be screwed.

You: "And let me guess, there at the Northern Air Temple?" She nods again. I then trace a line from Ba-Sing-Se to the Northern Air Temple.

Sue: "Are you saying...?"

Korra: "Zaheer's going to wipe out the airbenders... For good." Everybody goes quiet. Ok so obviously none of these people have been in a situation like this before.

You: "Ok, Sue how long would it take to get there by airship from Zaofu to the Northern air temple?" She thinks for a second before responding

Sue: "About 30 hours."

You: "Ok and how long from Ba-Sing-Se?"

Sue: "About 15 I'd guess."

You: "And how long ago was the assassination?"

Sue: "2 hours ago." Well this sucks.

You: "Well, we need to leave now. Prepare an airship. Let's see if we can radio the temple and warn them of the attack."
