What started as an infection became a plague of flesh eating Z's. No one knows how it started or where it came from. All we know is that the world we know is gone.

My name is Autumn and I was was 10 when the world went to shit. It was just My dad, my brother 10k and I for a while until 10k had to mercy dad. We have been traveling for years, scavenging, learning, adapting, and surviving. For the past couple weeks we were staying at an emergency military evacuation site. Even though it was over run, we lived on the rooftop and watch for survivors.
"10k I don't how long we can sit here like this."
" I know how you feel but we need to stay here, with all these supplies around we can survive here for a while." Said 10k.
I look in the distance and saw a truck approaching the building.
"10k Look! Survivors! We have to help them!"
"We don't know those people Autumn we can't just go."
We watched as they enter the building. I counted 7 people but by the looks of them, one was in the military. I knew there was a hoard coming and we needed to warn them.
"10k, you have to help them, they are going to die. We need this group, we can't keep living like this forever and if you don't help I will."
"Fine if this is what you want" 10k looked through his scope on his sniper and shot the zombie in the head in front of this old guy to save them . "
"Nice Shot!"
10k looked at me and smiled.
"Maybe we should start walking now, we saved them we should move on."
"Fine, but you have to carry the ammo." 10k said smirking.
"Whatever"
As we were walking along side the road, a truck pulled up beside us.
"Hey are you the sharp shooter that saved my ass back there?"
"Ya my brother was."
"Well my names Doc and this is Warren, Garnett, Addy, Mac, Cassandra, and this is Murphy who we are taking to California cause he has to antibodies for the zombie virus. You guys wanna join?"
I looked at 10k. "Can we?"
10k looked at me then to them and smiled and said yes.
"Welcome aboard what are your names?"
"Well my names Autumn and this is 10k."
"Why 10k."
"Because that's how many z's I'm gonna kill." Said 10k.
We got in the truck and I looked back to where we've been for the past couple months.
"I love you big bro."
"I love you too bug"
I smiled and knew that this is our time to take back the world that was once ours.
