CHAPTER 1
"Marlee, this is the first time that he's talked to me in weeks! He keeps asking Kriss to do things and I'm scared he'll choose her over me." I felt a tear come on my cheek.
"Oh please don't cry!" Marlee pleaded. "It's obvious Maxon will choose you! Your his favorite and everyone knows it. You just need to... get his attention."
"Marlee, that's a wonderful idea! Thank you!" I said wiping the tear off my face.
Then we embraced just as Maxon knocked on the door of the princess suit.
"My dear I'm so sorry but we have to go. Mother and Father are coming up," he whispered.
I hugged Marlee one more time and stood up to leave. I took Maxon's arm and as we walk down the stairs we run into to King Clarkson and Queen Amberly.
"Maxon, get in my office. NOW!"
Maxon shoots me a scared look. I squeeze his hand and let him go with his father.
I walk down to my room and Aspen is outside my door. He smirks at me and I turn my back to him. I can't really deal with Aspen right now. I just need to think.
"Mer wait!" Aspen called looking to his side, checking to see if anyone was there. " I need to talk to y-
"Not right now Aspen. I just need to think," I interrupted him and I waked strait into my room.
I rang the bell for Anne, Mary, and Lucy to come in and they did so almost instantly.
"Yes, my lady?" Mary asked with an exited look on her face.
"I need to talk about my next dress "
