Apparently, the green-and-purple-tinted planet had barely any green when you got close enough. It was just 'the color of the atmosphere', Lance assumed.

"So, are we fighting people, or talking to them, or what?" Lance asked out of curiosity.

"Probably neither. Probably both?" Pidge adjusted her glasses.

"We are not sure how they will greet us, or if we are welcome or not." Allura explained.

Lance went quiet after he got that answer, even though hundreds of questions buzzed around in his head. Keith must have realized he had gone quiet, because before you know it, he was speaking to fill in the silence.

"Lance, you're supposed to tell a dumb joke, or flirt with Allura or something, not go quiet. I know you feel crappy but, it's kinda weird seeing you this different. I don't like it."

Pidge suddenly cackled.

"What? What's going on? I wasn't-"

"Keith finally noticed his booyfriend is in a bad mood today."

Hunk snorted, and Lance made a pfft sound, before denying that statement.

"I am not his boyfriend! We may have been arguing less, but that's half because Allura told us to and half because there's no time to fight out of battle anymore!"

"Sure, that's totally believable. Keith hasn't said anything yet." Hunk added, as he realised this was lightening the spirit.

"If Lance is my boyfriend, Shay is your wife, Hunk. That's the only agreeable trade here."

Hunk gasped, his hand on his chest and a big smile on his face. By now, they'd landed and were out of their lions, chattering in their small little group.

"You agreed! Let me go get Shay."

"Actually, marry Pidge."

"Yeah! Come on, Hunk! I'm down for this! Also, Klance. Klance before thoughts. Always Klance."

"The quiznak is a Klance? Also, I do not agree to this, I am NOT dating Keith. What have you done, Mullet?"

"I can dump you after the first day, don't worry it's fine. Also I was trying to fluster Hunk, but then he agreed, so I chose Pidge because they're bros but turns out they're too close to be disturbed by that thought."

"Ohh, that is a good idea."

"Excuse me? Date? Now? I was being completely serious, you tall idiots."

"Excuse me? Not? Now? We're on a mission. Don't wanna distract Lance." Keith retorted playfully.

"There isnt anything distracting me, Mcdonalds-Jacket."

Everyone, including Keith, laughed at that. Lance suddenly felt 10x better than before.

This mission hadn't even started, and it was going well.
