As they talked, Lance seemed to feel better, but Hunk knew Lance would dwell on what happened today as soon as he was left alone (he planned on making Lance cook with him or something when they got back to the castle). They discovered the little alien's name was Miraya, or Mira for short. The paladins had started a small conversation as they waited for the 'adults' to arrive. Lance pointed out once that he thought he saw something moving in the distance, but as everyone else looked, they saw that there was nothing there, and told Lance he was probably just tired. About an hour passes, and they hear a stick break across the town. Hunk has to swivel his head around to see what's happening, and Allura turns her head so quickly her hair flies around her shoulder and into her face.
"You who have come into our town! What are your names?" A loud, but almost (almost) comforting female's voice sounded from across town. There was a group walking toward them from the other edge of the village.
"My apologies, but are you the adults this young alien keeps talking about?" Allura asked just to be sure (they couldn't see much, a thick layer of fog had started to accumulate and all they could see was the incoming party of blobs).
"Yes. Could you please tell us your names? I am Ghale."
The paladins all introduced themselves in order (definitely not on accident, nope) and Ghale walked towards them. Now they could confirm that, yes, this does look like a giant Mira, accompanied by other differently colored giant Mira-s."Mother, can I have this one as a brother?" Mira asked, sticking her hand-paw thing in Lance's face.
"Hey, you want a brother and a brother-in-law? Keith could be your brother-in-law." Pidge asked, elbowing Keith, who just rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. Ghale seemed unaffected by the question, and replied with "As long as he wants to be your brother." Mira looked at Lance with puppy dog eyes, which, Lance had to point out did not work well at all on him. "I can be your part-time brother, I can't really come back all that often but just pretend I'm at work all the time or something I guess?"Mira just bounced up and down and nodded her head excitedly, and Ghale sighed. "That works, I guess. What does that make, 18 people who have agreed to be her brother? Honestly, this embarrasses me. She practically adopts everyone in sight."
Allura chuckled and sighed. "I guess that means we have an alliance?" Ghale looked up and replied with "Of course, as long as the Galra don't find us." Pidge clapped her hands and swiveled around on her heels before breaking out in a sprint towards where they came from. "Then that means we get to leave right? We gotta set up that date for Lance and Keith," As she ran, Lance bolted after her as well, screaming "No!" and "I didn't agree to this! Stop!!". Hunk jogged after them while laughing, and Keith walk-ran mumbling to himself. You couldn't see it in the fog, but his face was very slightly tinted pink.
Allura stayed behind, thanking Ghale for agreeing to be their ally so quickly, before also walk-running away.
As they got in their lions, Allura kept rambling on about how this went worse and better than she expected simultaneously.
------------------------CRAP I came up with names for characters as I went!!! I forgot about the four day thing, I've been doing crap and forgetting to update!
These past chapters have been lacking the Langst they deserve, so I'm thinking about how I'm gonna make Lance suffer in the upcoming chapters. Hmmmmmmmm. I guess whatever I write I'll write, right?
Also, I might try and make myself an update schedule or something but I know I'm trying to update every week right now at least.
