Chapter 6
I woke up on a dirty floor which smelled of gasoline. The hard cement was digging into my back as I tried to sit up. If I wasn't as old as I was, I probably wouldn't have been waking up right now.
The toxin that Braedon had given me could've easily killed a new vampire. Or enough could kill any vampire.
I looked around. There wasn't any windows, only a door that was in a corner about fifty feet away. A small amount of light was let in from the bottom of the door, but besides that the cell was empty.
The hard floor had stains on it, which I'm guessing was blood from the smell of it. No furniture or other things were in here. Just walls and cement.
This would be boring.
I got up and sat down against the wall, deciding to wait until someone came to kill me. If they even could.
I sighed. I was never one with patience, even though I've been around for eight-hundred years. I closed my eyes and let my mind drift.
I found myself reliving a memory from about two-hundred years ago. I was standing on the balcony of a stone castle in Spain. It was a full moon and a breeze was barely blowing. The ocean was below me and I watched at the waves moved in the moonlight.
It was the perfect night.
My white gown was flowing down the my feet and I felt someone creeping up behind me. There heartbeat made it easy to tell who it was.
He came up behind me and put his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder. The breeze caressed my face and made my hair go back, letting him put his lips to my neck.
"Beautiful evening, isn't it?" he asked lowly. He continued kissing my neck, but I turned around to look into the electric blue eyes.
"Yes." I spoke and leaned into him. I put my head on his chest as he put his arms around me to hold me closer.
It made me feel safe that I was in his arms. The breeze that had been blowing stopped and a warmth settled over me that made me kind of nervous.
His hands rubbed up and down my back, and my stomach settled a little bit. I looked up to meet the blue eyes.
They looked back down at me with such adoration that I felt my legs almost give out. Good thing he was holding me because I probably would've collapsed. He laughed quietly and shook his head, biting his lip.
They looked so inviting that I just wanted to lean forward and close the distance between us. He must've know what I was thinking, because he started to lean forward.
A big sound startled me and I opened my eyes. Light was pouring through the empty cell and a figure stood in the doorway.
Two men followed Braedon through the doorway as he came closer.
I stood up and dusted off my knees, measuring up my opponents. They were human, easy to kill. I met Braedon's blue eyes and smirked.
"Is it really smart of you to bring human's to this room?" I asked and then felt a small burn spread across my throat. "Especially when I am thirsty?" I added and the pain got a little deeper, spreading to the hollow of my throat.
A small indentation appeared on Braedon's forehead, but then his face straightened out. His eyes met mine and I almost lost my tough stance, the electric blue looked so much like the ones I had just dreamt about. But it couldn't be.
"You wouldn't try anything, I'm only here to question you." he said calmly, the smooth voice rolling around my head like a drug that I was addicted to.
