Chapter 8

The minute I saw the flash of orange and blue, I was also caught into their trail of dust and was running so I won't get stampeded by the gigantic kids that were following behind.
"Crystal!" Two familiar voices called loudly. I looked to my right and saw Nami and Chopper.
"Oh... Good to see you again. But if you're here to get me, then that won't be needed I quit the crew," I told them grumpily.
"Like we care! Back then you waited for so long just to join our crew. You even got your father's permission to do so! I don't care if you're not going to be a part of the crew, but keep in mind, all of us want you to be there," Nami yelled grabbing my wrist tightly. "And don't worry we won't judge you because you are Dracule Mihawk's daughter, Zoro told us after you left."
I looked at Chopper who was nodding. "Even if you say that, I still won't join the crew or any other crew again. Changes happen and people die if it's too much to handle. People's deaths also affect people so if I changed, I don't want to affect you or anybody. So stop telling me to join the crew again!"
"Fine, I won't." I looked at her perplexed. "But when the time comes and Luffy reaches out his hand to you... don't hesitate to hold onto that hand." I continued running behind her while she was still holding onto my wrist. "Look! There's a door! We can get out of here!"
The kids behind us cheer loudly.
  'Why do I get this feeling that I did something wrong? Why does my heart ache to be with them all the time? Do I actually want to laugh alongside them? But... I have hardly spent any time with the whole crew. I have only been with Zoro when we were waiting for two years. But then again... I was happy even when it was just him. No! I can't allow my Change to ruin their happiness. No matter what, I will never join their crew again!'
Chopper jumped ahead and kicked the steel door that was ahead of us open. Cold wisp flowed into the lab and I still felt unaffected. The kids behind us were cheering about going back home that was when I noticed Franky and Sanji had arrived. In Sanji's hands was a severed head that looked like it was still alive. My guess was Law did it.
"I can't tell what's the weirdest!" I heard a bunch of voices say. I looked beyond the door and saw a big group of Marines and Law who was standing beside me. "A giant raccoon dog, a winter bikini, giant kids, a robot, a female albino that has eyes much like Dracule Mihawk and his daughter or a detached head... Am I dreaming?"
"Nami-swan! Crystal-chwan! You're alright!" I heard Sanji call. Nami took the jacket that Sanji handed her but jolted in shock when she saw Law.
"I've seen you before!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah! It's the guy from Sabaody! Were you the one who imprisoned these kids?!" Chopper added in exclamation.
"And you!" Sanji exclaimed all of a sudden. "Of all the atrocious fiends to run into... it's Smoker! This isn't good! We've run into the Navy! We can't go this way! We have to find another exit! Hurry back inside!" He commanded the kids as Nami grabbed me again and pulled me back into the lab.
"What's the Navy doing here?!" Nami questioned although no one could answer that except the Navy themselves.
"How should I know?! Anyway, run!" Franky replied. I managed to break out of Nami's grip without here knowing. 'Looks like I have outranked the famous Cat Burglar Nami in running away...' I laughed to myself as I ran back to Law.
"They're here, aren't they?! Alone, my hand!" Smoker yelled.
"They were indeed here... to my surprise," he lied acting shocked. I crawled up behind him and waited to see what would happen next.
"Soldiers! We will capture the Strawhats!" The captain, Tashigi, commanded. The men roared in agreement.
"Wait!" Smoker said.
"Room" I heard. A thin film of light-blue spread from where Law was. It went through me like thin air and coloured the sky an even darker shade of blue. A big puff of smoke erupted from where the soldiers were. However, Tashigi and Smoker held onto their ground. "They've made things much more complicated," Law said, now out in the snow. "Tact" I watched the warship and the water float off the ground in joy. 'Law has gotten better at using his Devil Fruit,' I noted. The shadow of the ship loomed over the Navy as they watched it get closer and closer in fear.
"The warship is floating!"
"Even the river is floating with it!"
"What is going on?"
"I can't let you leave this island anymore," he replied seriously. "Sorry that I said there wasn't anyone here."
"Stand back," Smoker commanded his men and drew his weapon that was said to be made of Sea-prism Stone. "You can't lay a finger on him... He'd just pull it off!" The men cheered as they watched Smoker gave of fumes of smoke but Law wasn't intimidated in the slightest bit as he drew his Nodachi.
'Father, I am currently in Punk Hazard. A circular island that is off-limits to everyone, including the Seven Warlords and their representatives. One of the Worst Generation is about to face off with a Marine Vice Admiral. I wonder who will win this battle...'
"Also, you there! Behind the door! Come out!" I sighed and walked out from my hiding place and stopped once I was next to Law. "I didn't expect to see you here. I must admit, it was difficult to tell who you were after you disappeared from the human eye for five years and changed your appearance. But now, I have no doubt. What are you doing here... Red Rose Crystal?" I smirked at Smoker slightly.
