I sighed, watching my two brothers and my dad bond over Game of Thrones with my ex boyfriend instead of my current boyfriend who is currently helping my mom, my future brother in law and my sister in law set up the table for my birthday dinner
"Hey Ava, do you think that Joe looks like Khal Drogo?" Fred asked as they watch the wedding of Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen, I look over at Joe who was pretty interested on the show
And I have to admit Khal Drogo does look like him and they're both hot but I don't want them to know that "I guess" I shrugged, and continued watching the show
"Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to you..." I look over and saw my mom, Janie, Blake and Fergal (who was holding the cake) come out of the kitchen and began singing "Happy birthday dear Ava... Happy birthday to you!" They finished singing and Fergal presented the cake with lit candles in front of me
"Make a wish, love." He whispered, smiling as my whole family surrounded us, except Joe of course
I closed my eyes and made one simple wish...
I wish that I can finally be happy with my life and no more drama with it...
I opened my eyes and quickly blew the candles, everyone cheered
"Happy birthday pumpkin" my dad said, hugging me tightly
"Thank you daddy" I smiled as we pulled away, I was tackled in a headlock by Fred
"Frederick!" My mom exclaimed, scolding him
"Happy birthday squirt." he chuckles, hugging me instead
"Thank you kuya" (Translation: big brother/ someone who is older than you) I smiled but pouted when he ruffled my hair, I fixed my hair before playfully glaring at him, he just smiled at me innocently
"Happy birthday bunso" George says as he hugs me "I hope you make beautiful babies with Finn." He whispered, making me blush
"Happy birthday love." Fergal pulled me in to a kiss, making my eyes widen and my family cheered as I kiss back
"Thank you" I smiled once we pulled away
"Happy birthday Ava." I heard Joe say
I turned to face him..
Joe's POV
She turns to face me "Thank you" she smiles genuinely
She's so beautiful lord help me...
Finn puts his arm around her waist, secretly smirking as he stares at me as if he was saying 'she's mine now, go fuck yourself'
If Ava's family wasn't here I would've beaten this kid to a pulp, trust me I will make sure that his face is bruised so badly that he's unrecognizable
There was a knock at the door that interrupted my internal competition with Finn
"Who the hell are you?!" Fred asked the person who seems to be going inside the living room. I froze when I saw Galina standing there with Fred behind her
She faked a smile "I'm here to congratulate my ex husband for having our divorce finalized this morning. So congratulations, you can finally be with this homewrecking bitch!" She said, pointing at Ava
"What the fuck did you just call my daughter, bitch?" Ava's mom said as she glared at my ex wife
Galina laughed "You're all fucking stupid to think that your daughter is so innocent and pure, when in reality she ruined our marriage!" She glared at Ava
"Is this true bunso?" Ava's dad asks as he looks at his daughter with pure disappointment. Ava just looked down, unable to face her family
"No she didn't ruin our marriage because ever since I married you my life went downhill." I stated, looking at Galina with so much hate
"You treated my family like shit when I'm always gone, you cheated on me and used me like a fucking atm machine! So you can't blame me if I fell in love with Ava and chose to be with her instead of pretending to be happy with you." I spat
"Because let's face it, even if I didn't meet Ava 3 years ago I'm still going to file for divorce." I said, making her a crying mess and rushed out the house, I sighed as I turn to face Ava and her family "I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused" I said apologetically
"I didn't mean for this to happen, I had no intention to hurt Ava but things were so complicated from my part and I had to keep my marriage from Ava so Galina won't hurt her. I just love her so much and even if it hurts me to see her happy with another man, I have to accept it." I looked at Ava who just stares at me with no emotion, something that she was good at
"I love you so much Ava Maine Calloway... I'm sorry that I ruined your life." I sighed as I grabbed my jacket from the coat rack and went to the nearest bar to get wasted
Ava's POV
After Joe's confession, I quickly went upstairs and sobbed my heart out because I knew he walked out of my life for good...
"D-Don't go... I love you too..." I whispered between sobs...
That night, I thought about Leati Joseph Anoa'i, not because I blame him for ruining my birthday
But because I want him back and I'll do what ever it takes to have him back.. Even if I look stupid doing it..
