04. Bargains

Ava's POV

"Stop it Colby!" My sister squealed as Colby was chasing her all over the living room "Ava! Help!" My sister said as she was tackled by her husband and tickled her with kisses

I giggled "Sorry Lexi, you bought it upon yourself" I smirked but it faded when I saw them making out on the couch "Uh hello? I'm still in the room!" I frowned

"Ava, maybe you should find a boyfriend" Colby said as he stood up from the couch and helping Alexa up and they both went upstairs

Suddenly someone pounded on the door "I'll get it" I sighed and went to get the door, I opened it and I saw the man who I thought was out of my life forever

"Where's Colby?" he said in a serious tone

"What the hell are you doing here at 11pm?!" I sassed

"I could say the same thing for you" he retorted

"That's none of your business." I was about to slam the door when he quickly went inside the house "Hey! You're trespassing!" I exclaimed

"Colby!" he shouted as he looked around the house, seeing all of Colby and Alexa's pictures on the wall and the tables

I turned him to face me "Stop it Joe!" I exclaimed as he suddenly hugged me

"I missed you" he said, hugging me tighter, I suddenly felt tears streaming down on my face

"Stop it" I said as I try to push him away

"What's going on- Joe? What are you doing here?" I looked over and saw Alexa and Colby staring at us, Joe loosened his grip and I quickly pushed him away and ran back to my room and sobbed my heart out for a few minutes but it felt like hours

"Ava, sweetie?" I heard the door creak and I felt a weight on my bed "What's wrong?" It was my sister

"Nothing" I lied and wiped my stupid tears away

"Ava... I'm your sister... you should tell me what's wrong or I'll call Fred and George and tell them someone made you cry." she joked, I quickly shook my head, thinking about their overprotectiveness towards me "Now will you tell me?" She looked at me with sincere eyes

I sighed "Remember my ex boyfriend whom you never got to meet? And the one I told you that I dumped because I found out that he was married and has a family?" I asked, she nodded "It's Joe..." I looked down as I hold back my tears but Alexa hugged me tightly "H-He lied to my face and said to me that I'm the only woman in his life... We even moved in together for a few months... One day I saw a different phone ringing so I answered it... I-It was Galina, Joe's wife" I let the tears fall down once again "I-I confronted him about it, he still lied to me, so I did the right thing.... I moved out of the house that Joe bought me, throw away the things he gave me and deleted him from my life..." I sniffled

"Do you still love him?" she asked, I shook my head (I lied) "If you need a shoulder to cry on... I'm here." she smiled

"Thanks Ate Lexi" I smiled and hugged her tightly (A/N: Ate is a Filipino word for Older sister/ sign of respect for an older girl related or not related to you)

"I'm always here bunso" she hugged me back and kissed my forehead and left my room (A/N: Bunso- youngest in the family)

That night, I didn't sleep, and thought about Joe all night

Joe's POV

"Let me get this straight... you're gonna keep our secret and tell no one about it if I help you get Ava back?"Colby asked, I nodded "Aren't you married Joe? What about Jojo and Galina? your fa-" he was interrupted by Alexa

"I'd rather tell our marriage to the whole world than having this dickhead hurt my sister again" she hissed as she glared at me

"Alexa please.... I'll divorce Galina soon, tell Ava that please..." I begged

"Too bad she doesn't love you anymore, and you're lucky Ava didn't tell our brothers or they will skin you alive." she said "You know our secret now, you bargained it just to see my sister again , and I said no. Now get out!" She pushed me towards the door and opened it "Alexa please...." I said as I stepped out of the house

She just glared at me before slamming the door shut in my face

I love Ava so much... she's not like Galina or any girls I've met before... she's just so special

I dialed a number and sighed as I wait for her to pick up

"Hello Joe?"

"I want a divorce..."
