14. Heartbreaks and Accidents 💔😱

Joe's POV

"Sweetie, please come out." My ex wife says in an irraitated voice as she was outside our daughter's room

"No! You're not my mommy anymore! Go away!" JoJo screamed at her as she cries "I want Aunty Ava!" She says

"Listen you little brat, you'll come with me whether you like it or not!" Galina yelled

Pissed, I grabbed her arm harshly and dragged her towards the door "Listen here you bitch, don't you ever talk to MY daughter like that again. In fact I already filed for her sole custody so expect that you'll see me in court!" I roared and pushed her out the house

"I won't let you get away with this!" She spat

"I already have bitch, see you in court" I slammed the door on her face and sighed before going upstairs and knocking on my daughter's room

"Sweetie? It's okay, she's gone now." I soothed my crying daughter

"I don't want her to take me away." I hear her whimper

I quickly went inside her room and hugged her tightly "Daddy's never going to let that happen" I kissed the top of her head

"Daddy, do you love Aunty Ava?" She asked as she looked at me

I was taken aback by her question but kept my cool "Why did you ask that princess?" I asked

"I saw you kissing and hugging before, I didn't tell mommy because you were happy and smiling, unlike when you were with mommy, you're always sad and angry." She admits truthfully

I smiled surprisingly at her answer "I do baby.. But she's with someone else now." I sighed

"Then I'll convince her to be with you!" She giggles "Call her daddy! I have a plan." She winks

I chuckled "Alright alright." I grabbed my phone from my pocket and dialed Ava's number. After a few rings somebody answered the phone

"Ava's phone who's calling?" It was a girl with a familiar voice. Her best friend, Anya

"Hi Anya, this is Joe. Can I speak with Ava please? I need to tell her something." I look over my daughter who was covering her mouth as she giggles

"She's in the shower, would you like me to- oh never mind she's here." Anya says as I hear a bit of shuffling in the background "Hello?" I hear her voice speak softly

"Put her on speaker Daddy!" My daughter piped up, I did what she told me "Hi Aunty Ava!" She said cheerfully

"Hi baby! How are you ?" I can probably hear the smile on her voice

"Im doing great Aunty!" She said happily "Can you babysit me today? Daddy's got a date tonight." I looked at my daughter with a shocking expression on my face she just looked at me as if she was telling me to play along

"O-Oh? With who?" She said, trying to sound unaffected

"Aunty Trin! Daddy's taking her out to the movies." My daughter giggled as she stared at my frowning face

"Alright, see you in twenty minutes." She said cheerfully

"Bbye aunty!" Jojo said before hanging up the phone

"Since when am I dating your Aunt Trinity? Does she even know this plan of yours?" I ask sternly

"Yes daddy, she'll help make Aunty Ava jealous and she'll be with you! Trust me daddy this will work!" She said happily

I chuckled, Ava is a jealous person when we were together most of the time

I ruffled her hair "Alright, but if Ava doesn't get jealous, we'll stop the plan okay?" I asked

She nodded and pushed me out "Now go get dressed Daddy!" She winks before closing the door

I sighed

When did my daughter became so mature?

"I'm really sorry for the trouble Jojo caused you Trin, I had no idea where Jojo got this idea from." I said apologetically to Trinity as we finished watching Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them at the theaters

"It's no trouble at all! Jojo filled me in all the details." She laughs "And thank god you divorced that bitch after 8 years" she sighed "You must really love this girl huh?" She asked

I chuckled and nodded "I do, that's why I divorced Galina."

She smiles "I need to meet this girl so I can eye my competition" she teased "But kidding aside, you've been smiling a lot since the divorce and as a friend and your daughter's godmother, it makes me happy too." She pats, my back "Thank you for this date." She kisses my cheek

"Let me drive you home!" I offered

"Nah, your daughter needs you." She winks before walking away

Ava's POV

"This is a stupid idea Anya, did you even see them? " I asked as I was talking with Anya on the phone

"I did.. Joe's coming home soon, is Jojo in bed?" She asks

"Yeah she's asleep, I'm just finishing up the dishes." I said as I placed the last plate in the dishwasher

"Ask him how the date went, to know who you're up against"

"I can't do that, he's moving on from me and he's starting to be happy with someone else. The least I can do for him is leave him be!" I exclaimed, trying not to cry

She was about to answer but the door opened revealing Joe, walking inside the house, I quickly hung up my phone and put in my back pocket

"Hey, is Jojo asleep?" He greets

I nodded, feeling tears are about to escape my eyes "Yeah, um I'll go now. See you.." I quickly dashed outside of his house and went straight to my car, crying my heart out as I start the car

Why am I even crying? This is all my fucking fault.. I shouldn't have pushed Joe away and now I have to see him move on from someone else.. And just by that thought, it broke my heart badly

Please take away the pain... Please...

I decided to go to Anya's flat because I don't want to be alone tonight, but my vision was getting blurry because of the tears, I didn't realize that I was heading towards a truck which made me lose control of the car and making it tumble upside down, knocking me out in the process

(A/N: THIS IS PROBABLY THE CRAPPIEST CHAPTER I'VE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK, BUT EH I TRIED ☺
