( CHAPTER TWO : THE MISCHIEF OF A TEENAGER )

As usual, Mariella had come to the conclusion that most things in the universe she was currently living in was not always as it had seemed to be, to the appealing eye. And so in other words, there were more secrets caved within the enclosed bodies and minds of the students she had been so accustomed to seeing walk by her each morning, and were willing to keep them close to themselves. Of course, she was somehow part of that demography, but the settling feeling of finally being able to fit into the tight fighting gaps within those students had soon become natural to her.

In addition to the unusual feeling as it had seemed, the bright smile that only burned the corners of her eyes had only been held responsible by the korean girl that was happily walking beside her, almost overjoyed by the information they had received about their recent changes to time schedules. It had clearly been a nuisance to the dark skinned girl when she had been silently seated along the leather couch and had heard the news that apparition lessons ( ones which she had not recalled signing up for ) would proceed the following day.

Apparition for as far as she had known was nothing more than a skill which she would prefer to learn when her times were not completely booked by practising her own skills or reciting new spells, or spending her breaks and lunches researching about sources of information she could use in order to help the investigation of Charlotte's death. The syllables that would sound within her head would only cause her grief and sorrow whenever she heard the name mumble amongst other students.

Whilst she threw glares and cold stares to those who she knew were in no place to speak poorly about what they preferred to call a 'dirty creature that roams the earth freely', she had yet to show any reaction towards the three boys who she had shared a deep hatred for. As far as she could remember the vague conversations Charlotte would share with her, Remus was her second cousin-in-law due to a sudden marriage that had occurred between aunties and her uncles. So it had seemed that the grief had spread to someone other than herself.

She walks into the luminous classroom that she could only perceive as a breeding ground for seers and other means of fortune telling and predictions. She had never forgotten the screaming she had heard from the Gryffindor common rooms when Miaomoryi had accidentally spilled the porcelain cup filled with the black remains of tea. "Next time the woman should had given us a damn caution about how hot the cups would get." The korean girl would grumble upon the entrance of the room.

The professor had made the attempt to reinforce the ground rules of divination once more for the third time that lesson and proceeded to wander around the room with a distant scowl amongst her face. The witch wondered whether or not the small black particles of tea debris would finally predict something more than her painful death.

"So in what manner would you accept the slight image of a dove as?" Miaomoryi questioned quietly whilst her fingers grasp tightly onto the exterior of the cup. With narrowed eyes, she moved the cup in a circular motion, staring deeply into the centre of the object. For the longest time, she had remembered how intimately intrigued she was by the subject. Often she would deck out her books in the library, struggling to remember the meaning of tarot cards or memorize the meanings of different symbols that were hidden in the tea.
