"What're you doing down here at this time? I thought you'd be asleep? Do you need anything?" He asked quietly. He was wearing a tshirt, some pyjama bottoms, and a dressing gown. Sophia shook her curls. "No no no! It's fine! I just... Couldn't sleep."
"Why? Is everything alright?" Seto shut the door behind him.
"Yes, it's just... I'm still worried for my grandmother. She thinks I'm with my dad still."
His brow wrinkled, obviously not satisfied by this answer,
"I was going to go to the library and read for a little while. You're welcome to join me in the library." He asked her.
"Sure, thanks."Seto led the way towards the library in the same brisk manner he had at five o'clock in the afternoon. Sophia clumsily stumbled after him. She regretted not putting something warmer on, and the large hallways weren't exactly the epitome of warmth. They may have been grand, and interesting, but the hallways were cold, not a lot happy energy coming from them. Much like the owner of the house. Sophia stared at his back, wondering. What must have happened to him to make him this way?
He stopped dead at a door in the west wing of the house. The door was oak, with a gold plaque that read 'Library' nailed into the wood. Seto twisted the door knob and pushed the door open. Flicking on the light, turned the switch to the corridor off. This plunged the corridor into darkness, and a bluish light from the sky and moon. Filtered in through the windows. Turning on the library lights, a soft glow illuminated the room. Like the rest of the house, it was of an impeccable level of grandeur. There was a double fabric sofa , light brown with a few coloured pillows. "Here, sit down. Do you want a few fingers of brandy?" He said. On an oak side table, he had a glass decanter of brandy with three crystal glasses on a tray. "Yes, please." He poured brandy into a glass and handed it to her. His hand brushed against hers. She sipped , letting the liquid slip down to her stomach. Kaiba say down on the sofa, and pulled a book from underneath a pillow. "Pick a book. I have many."
"No, I think I'll just try to sleep." She said, crossing towards the couch and perching herself on the seat. Drinking the rest of the drink, she put the empty glass on the floor next to the couch. Leaning back, she felt the alcohol release into her system. The last thing he felt was the exhaustion catching up with her, and her eyes drooping. She fell backwards , curling up into a ball and falling asleep.Sorry about how long this took. Thank you for waiting. I love you all so much ❤️
