I stayed out of school for the next two days, with Adalynn constantly fussing over me. The Friday of that week she finally decided to let me go back to school. Vincent having brought my makeup work to me daily since he lived just down the road. He had offered the day before to let me ride with him to and from school so that Adalynn could rest. I accepted, mainly due to the fact that she had been worrying herself sick about me for three days. She deserved that extra sleep.
I got up that morning having decided to wear a dress because it had gotten hot over the week and I just wanted to be comfortable. Once ready I made my way down the stairs silently, so Adalynn could sleep in, and grabbed a granola bar and water bottle. I made my way outside sitting down on the porch to wait for Vincent.
I was munching on my granola bar when he pulled into our yard in a red Jeep, once he parked I gathered my things and got in. I was hit with blasting cold ac as soon as I sat down and instantly chill bumps arose on my legs.
"First time I've ever seen you in a dress, I think I'm seeing things! Are you really wearing a dress?" Vincent rushed out in a playful tone.
"It's hot." I replied.
"The dress or the weather?" William asked from the backseat.
Slightly startled because I hadn't realized he was in the vehicle, I gasped before replying. "The weather you pervert."

Once at the school me and Vincent made our way to our normal spot with William in tow. We were both quiet a bit less talkative with his brother there, it was extremely awkward so we both just worked on school work until it was time to head to our classes.
Much to my surprise William followed me into the classroom taking a seat right behind me, as other teens began to walk into the class. Every single girl paused for a moment to look back at William before they sat down, it was painful almost because as they looked at him they also looked at me with fury blatant in their faces.
It went like this for he majority of the day, finally as I walked to lunch with him right behind me, I turned to face him. "Are you following me? Because its kind of weird that you have the same classes as me, and why do you keeps sitting with me? Geez the girls here are brutal enough to me without you! It's like your a freaking magnet or something to them."
"I'm not following you. I'm just going to the classes I was assigned with, and I just wanted to sit next to somebody I know. Is that such a crime. Look if it really bothered you that much I will leave you alone. I'm sorry." He said, looking almost hurt.
"I'm sorry, I'm just tired of the way the girls here treat me. I shouldn't have taken it out on you." I said moving so he couldn't storm away.
"Its fine I get it." He said trying again to walk away.
"Look at me please! I didn't mean it like that can we start over? Please." I said
"Sure." He replied.
And with that we made our way to lunch walking silently next to each other. Vincent looked visibly upset by the time we had made it to the table, but I didn't say anything not wanting to upset him further.
To be quiet honest lunch was brutally awkward and I was so grateful to go back to class, and escape the tension. As I hurried out of the lunch room William jogged quickly trying to catch up to me, to my surprise Vincent didn't even attempt to keep up with me.
William made his way to my side and stroke up a conversation about the pointlessness of high school math and I peered over my shoulder to see Vincent sulking off, "I totally agree with you it doesn't really prepare yo for real life." I replied trying to seem friendly.
