"NO CALUM! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT OUR SON HERE! HE'S THREE FUCKING YEARS OLD YOU CAN'T FORGET LIKE THIS!" Y/n whisper-yelled before she turned and ran up the stairs to their shared bedroom. Calum flinched as he heard the door slam shut and the lock set. He sighed loudly before feeling his eyes water up and shed a couple of tears. The argument had started when Calum forgot to pick up their son, Luke (named after one of his best mates) from daycare. The 3 year old had been there for a total of 2 extra hours before Y/n was called. To say she was pissed would be an understatement. He roughly wiped away at his eyes before standing up and walking up the stairs. He knew that he should give Y/n some time to cool off so instead he decided to go to their son's room. "Luke?" He walked in to see his son sitting at his play table, drawing a picture. Luke gave him an adorable little grin before running up to his dad and wrapping his tiny, chubby arms around his legs. "Daddy!" He squealed. It didn't seem to faze Luke that nobody picked him up. He just sat there, telling stories to his teacher (idk what the daycare people are called) about his mom and dad as she got slightly concerned as to where they were. "Hi, baby." Calum sniffled slightly before picking his son up and resting him on his hip. Luke scanned over his dads face before a frown etched onto his face. "Why daddy sad?" He questioned with a small tilt to his head. "Mommy's mad at me, will you help me buddy?" He asked with a small smile. A large grin replaced the frown on Luke's face. "Of course daddy!" Luke cheered. "Thank you baby, now cmon tell me where mommy put your craft stuff."

Y/n had decided to hop into the bath to relax. She didn't know if she had been too harsh on Calum, but cmon how do you casually forget about your 3 year old son? She shook her head before resting it against the wall behind her. She had Adele playing in the background (if you don't like Adele then change it, I like her music so) and closed her eyes. She must have fallen asleep, as she woke to small childish giggles. Her face shifted into one of confusion before she turned to look over at the door to the bathroom. She had locked it to make sure that Calum didn't try to enter. She noticed a small pink, folded piece of paper slip under the door. She lifted herself out of the bath, dried off and changed into Calum's hoodie and a pair of pink shorts that she had brought with her. Y/n picked up the paper and smiled at the poorly draw picture. It was a gigantic heart with 3 stick figures inside all holding hands. It was two 'adult' stickmen, which were obviously drawn to be Calum and Y/n and a smaller stickman that was obviously Luke. She opened the card and the paragraph Calum had written for her made tears fill up her eyes. 'I love you so much baby' was written in Calum's messy, chicken scratch of handwriting on the back. Y/n brushed the tears that had escaped before she unlocked the door and stepped out. There stood a hopeful looking Calum with a giggly Luke on his right hip. "I love you too Calum." She laughed lightly. Calum's eyes lit up before he placed his free hand on his wife's cheek and pressed his lips to hers quickly. They only pulled apart because of the little body that was squished in between the two. "And I love you too baby." Y/n smiled and pressed a small kiss to Luke's head as Calum pulled her to lean against his free side, feeling content with his beautiful little family.
