The News...

*Ruby's P.O.V.*

I just stared and waited for a bit, before finally walking closer..
I slowly pushed the door open, still holding my uncle's body in crow form to my chest. My dad looked up from his place on the couch, immediately standing up. "Ruby! Y-you're back! Are you safe?!"

He walked towards me. I looked down, not wanting him to see my tears.. Too late. He saw them anyway...
"R-Ruby?.. Is everything okay? What's wrong..?" he asked. I held back sobs.
"D-dad... Uncle Qrow is...." I lowered my hands to reveal the small dead bird that was huddled up inside them... My dad covered his mouth. "..Oh my God... Ruby.. I'm...."
Tears grew in his eyes as well. In my attempt to hold in the sobs that I wanted to let out so badly, small whimpers escaped my lips..

He hugged me. "I'm so sorry you had to witness that... You shouldn't have to go through something like this..."

Soon after, I heard Yang's voice. "Hey. Is Ruby home?! I heard her voice and-..." she came out to see the crow in my hands.
"Wait-... Is-..... Is that-....?!"
I looked at her with teary eyes, unable to hide anything anymore... Her eyes widened, and she ran back into her room and slammed the door as hard as she could.. I could hear weeping from her room a few minutes after...

God... What have I done....
