No Rescue

The Funeral.

*Ruby's P.O.V.*

My body couldn't take any more crying... But it was the only thing I knew how to do anymore...
It was the day of my Uncle Qrow's funeral..
Instead of a red cloak, I was now wearing a black one, and kept the hood up the entire time... In my hands, I held a single black rose. My dad was wearing all black too, and Yang....

Yang stayed in her room and just watched from the window, with a constantly gloomy look on her face.
There wasn't many people there, only me, dad, a couple of the teachers from both Beacon and Signal, and this boy I've never seen before.. He had black hair, and slightly tanned skin.. He looked like some sort of farm boy... I wondered why he was here...

I decided to walk over to him. He had his head down, and he seemed to be talking to himself. I tapped his shoulder, making him jump and turn towards me quickly. "Oh.. Sorry,  did I scare you..?" I apologized. As soon as his eyes locked with mine, he looked shocked. "You have... Silver eyes..." He stared. My eyes widened as well.

"Who... Are you..?" I ask him. He starts to look a bit nervous. "M-... My name is Oscar Pine... But.... I guess I'm supposed to tell you that- "
He gets interrupted by a black bird that swoops down to the ground, immediately turning human upon landing. She had messy black hair and red eyes. She kinda looked like Yang. Tears were in her eyes as she looked at my dad in panic.

"Where is my brother?!" She screamed....
