*Ruby's P.O.V. *

The lady keeps yelling at my dad. "Is it true, Tai?!?! Tell me!... Is he really...?" She didn't want to say the word. I look at my dad. He just steps to the side, looking down in despair.
The woman's attention is brought to a box laying on the ground.. She walks towards the box slowly, dropping to her knees right before it. Her hands are shaking as she opens up the box...

She doesn't hesitate to let her tears fall as she covers her mouth, crying into it for a few seconds. She picks up the small bird form of Qrow, holding it close to her and crying loudly. "Brother, I should have been there.. I'm so sorry..."

I thought for a second, considering what the woman said. Does she really mean that Uncle Qrow is her brother...? But if she's Qrow's sister, then-....
"Mom...?!" I whimpered, almost fainting.

She heard me, not turning her head, but still answering.
"... Ruby... I'm.... sorry. You shouldn't have had to witness this..." She told me, hugging the bird a bit tighter. My knees finally gave in, and my vision went black. I fainted.. Someone caught me.. That farm boy.. Oscar.

*Time skip*

*Oscar's P.O.V.*

I had put her in her bed after she passed out, then seated myself on a chair next to her bed. This was so much to take in! This stupid voice won't get out of my head, and now I've got all of this drama between a pretty girl and her crazy mother...

"I can still read your thoughts. You do know that, right?"

I jumped at the deep voice that suddenly crowded my head.
"I thought I told you to get out!" I whispered between my teeth.

"Look.. Oscar, I never said that I wanted any of this either..."

I sighed. After a few more seconds, the voice that introduced itself as Ozpin filled my head again.
"The girl's name is Ruby. And her mother's name is Raven. Let's just say that they don't exactly have the best mother-daughter relationship..."

I was now curious, repeating the name Ruby in my head. It sounded pretty...

"Indeed, it does."

The late professor agreed. My eyes widened a bit.
"Could you stop reading my thoughts for like two minutes?!"
"Well it isn't like I have a choice. Maybe you shouldn't think so loudly!"
"Maybe I shouldn't think loudly?! I'm doing it in my head! Maybe you shouldn't be shouting into my eardrums 24/7!"
"I'm not yelling... I'm simply speaking at the volume in which a normal human being might speak."
"Well are you doing it in some kind of microphone or something? Because-"

Our argument got interrupted by a small voice. It belonged to Ruby.
"Who.. Who are you talking to...?" She asked tiredly. Once she had fully waken up, I answered her question.
"U-um... It's kind of complicated..." I said. She tilted her head to the side in a confused manner. I shifted my weight nervously. "I was talking to.. Um.. Y-your... Headmaster, Professor Ozpin.." I shrugged and pointed to my head.

I watched as her silver eyes got wide for a second, but then... She fainted again...

"You aren't very good at this... Are you..?"
Ozpin asked me. I mentally glared at him...
