The last thing I wanted to do was go to school tody, but anything was better than staying home. I heard the buzz that called me to make breakfast, and I groaned as I finished getting ready. In the kitchen, I slaved over the stove to prepare my stepsisters food just the way they wanted it. The high pitched cackling warned of the entrance of my stepsisters, Mary and Grace. As they entered, irritation flooded through me as their chattering filled the room. Just as i finished their food, Mary exclaimed, "Oh my God, Grace, did you see the new boy?"
Grace let loose a wave of cackling. "Oh my God! Yes! He is so hot. I mean he looks like a runway model. We're going to be married one day," she responded.
Mary rolled her eyes obnoxiously. "Um, no. Me and Zayn are gonna get married and live in a big mansion,' Mary retorted.
I set their food down and tried to tune out their stupid argument. I hoped to myself that Zayn had more sense in this life than to marry one of those two brats. "Excuse me! Perrie! Make us tea, like right now!" Mary demanded.
I rolled my eyes as I poured their tea and they continued their argument on who would marry Zayn. The argument heated up as I set the tea in front of them. "You're so wrong, you cow! He would never marry an ugly girl like you!" Grace screamed.
Mary wasted no time responding to Grace's insult by saying, "Me ugly? You are a little toad! I mean, I don't even know how we are related!"
I sat down on my chair in the corner and watched the digress away from Zayn. "How dare you?" Grace shrieked. "Everyone knows I'm the pretty one! I 'm not an ugly toad! I'm like Aphrodite, and you're just a fat pig!"
Mary lunged at Grace just as their mother walked in. "What is going on here?" she huffed as she pulled Mary off of Grace.
Both girls rushed to tell their mom the story first. I, however, placed my stepmother's breakfast before her. "One at a time!" she yelled.
Grace told her side of the story, and Mary explained herself afterwards. Their mother looked thoughtful. "Well just as long as one of you marries this Zayn boy then I don't care," she said haughtily.
"Well he's handsome and rich, of course he'll marry me," Mary said.
She flipped her thin bleached hair over her shoulder, placing her hands on her hips in attempt to make her stick-like figure seem like it had curves. Grace let out a short cackle and said, "Obviously, we belong together because we're both beautiful and rich."
Grace then flipped her wispy straw-colored hair and one hand hip, making her short, stout figure look like a grotesque teapot. I left the room, so I didn't have to fight off the laughter at the thought of Zayn marrying either one of them. Laughing would get me nothing but more work and no phone. Luckily I managed to leave the house today without being called back to the kitchen to do more work. I practically ran out of the house to the bus top, the one place you would never see the sisters because the bus was 'beneath them', so their mom drove them to school
When I arrived, Jade welcomed me with a sympathetic smile.
