After I entered the inn, I was bombarded with questions from a very angry Carter. Why was he even mad, it's not like he cares where I've been or done, right?
Ummm, now let's look at the obvious scenario in front of you.
.
.
.
He likes you.
My inner voice deadpanned with inkling sarcasm.
I let out an exasperated sigh. Shut up.
No can do, you're stuck listening to yourself, loser.
"Are you even paying attention?!" Carter shouted angrily.
I have him a sheepish shrug. "Carter, it's okay. I'm okay,"
His eyes flickered to my lips. In a flash he wraped his arms around my waist with his warm lips crashing down on mine. I stood frozen in place as my eyes fluttered shut, not quite comprehending what was happening. My heart rate picked up. This, was not happening.
Are you frikin kidding me, you are getting kissed by your crush and you just stand there?! My inner voice screeched. For once I ignored well er- myself and wrapped my arms around carter. Breaking away from the kiss, I opened my eyes.

Carter's cheeks were tinted red, as he awkwardly rubbed his neck. "I'm glad you're okay," he said softly.
"M-me too," I stuttered.
Carter chuckled, "let's get you to your bed."

~~~~
We got up early in the morning. But even a bed for my tired and weary self was much better than the ground. I stretched and let out a yawn.
"Tired?" Carter handed me an exotic fruit which I gobled down much to the satisfaction of my grumbling stomach.
You eat like a pig, my inner voice stated.
Which means you eat like a pig, I fired back.
Shut up.
Wish you could do the same.
"So, no good morning kiss?" Carter teased.
I glared at him as my face heated up. "No, I like my food better."
Carter raised an eyebrow, but thankfully didn't comment.
We rode on horse back to the center of the city. It's architecture was a mixed style of ancient and modern. It was both beautifully unique and breathtaking.
Carter gazed at the city longingly. "It's definitely something else-" he stopped.
I didn't voice my thoughts... Did I? I bit back a frown.
We stopped in front of a towering building with grand stairs twisting all around it.
We got off the horses and walked inside. I let out a small gasp. It was unlike anything I've ever seen. Enchanting, as if time didn't exist. Artifacts, jewelry, gold, contraptions scattered abroad; new, old, ancient, some on display others in shelfs or vaults. Books lined the floor to ceiling shelves. Hundreds maybe thousands neatly aligned on the shelves. A gorgeous, woman covered in unique jewelry that jingled with every movement came up to us.
"Carter," she embraced him tightly
"Carter," she embraced him tightly. "Oh, it's been to long!"
"Yes, it has." Carter hugged her back. "But we need your help."
"Why of course," she turned to me and offered a slender hand,"my name's Shelijiah, I'm the Warden of Eljirkin." she smiled warmly.
"Ivy," I squeezed her hand,"Gaurdian of the Dragon Soul."
She studied me for a moment," I see why he picked you. And I presume that's what you need help with?"
I nodded my head.
"Carter, take her to the observatory. I'll be there in just a second."
"C-mon, let's go." he led me through the other side of the room.
"So, you know Shelijiah?" I asked curiously.
"Yea, she kinda raised me."
"Oh, what happened to your parents? Do they still keep in contact with you or-"
Carter clenched his fist, " ivy stop" he said gritting his teeth as he looked ahead with no emotion.
Silence settled between us. A few minutes we were in front of one door, Carter started to push it open but I stopped him. "I'm sorry," I whispered searching his face.
"It's fine," he said monatoniousl and entered the observatory.
Like the entire building, it took my breath away
Like the entire building, it took my breath away. Marble floors reflected off their glossy finish. Palm trees and other exotic plants grew on the outer edges. An open glass globe with intricate Windows flooded light into the room. In the center of it all floated a model hologram of the universe.
"I missed it here, " Carter mumbled.
"I would too, believe me," I chuckled while my eyes roamed around.
Sheliliah entered through the other side and beckoned us to the center. She was holding a crystal like ball with ancient runes engraved on it.  "This is a halosphere. It will project and record what the Dragon says through your Dragon's soul shard. "
I looked at her with confusion etching my features. How does she know so much about me? I thought I'm the only one.
No, you're just the only one in the last 5 centuries.  Eroeses' deep voice echoed in my brain .
And why does she want to use the halosphere?
So I can show them where your dad is of course.
Oh.
"So, Eroese can show you where my dad is through the halosphere?"
"Oh yes, and the location of his soul, which You need in order to end the Armenian invasion once and for all," Shelijiah looked straight at me.
I gulped.
Oh boy.
****
Welp, I tried writing the scenes but they probably came across more of cringy.
Hope you enjoyed it-
Oh wait. I got this.
