I was walking on the beach wearing a pink bikini with a black sundress. My long black hair was in a bun on top of my head. I was enjoying walking barefoot down the beach. Taking in he beautiful sunset view. The sun was just setting which made the sky a beautiful orange-yellow color. The waves were perfectly crashing on the surface. It was a beautiful day. Then I saw someone standing a little ways down the beach. I started walking towards whoever it was. As I got closer I noticed it was a man. Who had short blonde hair. He was wearing a blue shirt with a pair of jeans. He actually looked pretty good. As I got closer I noticed a pair of beautiful blue eyes. Wait! No it can't be. I walked right up to the man who had tried to kill me a few days ago. "Hello Jenna. Did you miss me?" Josh said with a icy look.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I have unfinished business to take care of." He said. Then all of a sudden the sky turned grey with storm clouds. What was once a beautiful setting was going downhill fast. Josh walked right up to me and grabbed me by my hair. He started dragging me. He was taking me out to the ocean. The waves which were just perfect turned into huge monster waves. It occurred to me what Josh was going to do to me. He was going to drown me. We got into the water he was still dragging me by my hair. I was starting to get a really bad headache but I had a feeling a headache is going to be the least of my problems soon. As soon as we were out far enough to where he was only knee deep which meant I was mid thigh deep he stopped. I tried to wiggle my head out of his grasp but it was no use he was too strong for me. Then he put my head under the water. My eyes were burning because of the salt. I held my breathe for as long as I could but after a while it felt like I was souficating. I shot up out of my bed. Gasping for air. I checked my surroundings. I was back in the safety of my own room.
"Thank God it was just a dream." I whispered. I took my ear buds out of my ears and decided to go downstairs.
"Hey sweetheart." My mom greeted me as I walked into the kitchen. My mom was standing at the stove. Taking something out of the oven.
"Something smells good mom." I said
"Thanks sweetheart. I'm making your favorite Lasagna." She said setting the dish on the counter. I know shes worried about me because she barely looks at me anymore. I know its all too much for her to handle. And I'm not helping by shutting her out but I can't really tell anyone about this. We all sat down at the table. It's awkward now because before I was almost killed. We always had fun and talked when we were sitting at this table eating dinner. And now no one even talks. I feel bad as I look from both of my parents faces I know I have to do something to fix this. The only problem is I don' know how.
"Sweetheart is something wrong? You've barely touched your food?" My dad asked me. Looking worried. I sighed loudly which caused my mom to look at me.
"What's wrong?" She asked me.
"It's not the same ever since everything happened." I said. My parents just looked at me shocked.
"Well honey nothings ever really going to be the same." My dad said.
"We don't even try to forget about it.." I stated. "And you know the worst part." I said. "Mom can't even look at me!" I yelled. Tears threatening to spill out. I looked at my parents then got up. "Pardon me." I said while walking towards the stairs. I walked into my room and slammed the door. I changed out of my sweats and put on a pair of jeans and a pair of Nike tennis shoes. I walked back down the stairs. I was about to walk out the door when I heard talking coming from the kitchen. I hid behind the wall where I could hear everything clearly.
"You know how serious this is John.." My mother said.
"Yes I do Claire but unlike you I can still look at her and talk to her." My dad said.
"I don't know what to do John." My mom said. I knew she was crying.
"We have to stay strong for her we have to help her through this." My dad answered her. I knew the conversation was over. So I walked in to find my mom in my dad's arms.
"I'm going out." I said. They both looked at me worried.
"Where to kid?" My dad asked. That was a good question. I honestly had no clue where I was going to go.
"Just out for a walk." I answered back.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" My mom asked looking anywhere but at me. No I was actually still on edge because of that dream I just had but I cant let fear control my life.
"Yes mom I'm positive." I answered.
"Do you have your phone?" My dad asked.
"Yes of course." I answered pulling my IPhone out of my pocket.
"Ok then go have fun." My dad said.
"John!" My mom yelled.
"Let her go she has her phone and she knows to call if something is wrong." He said looking at me. I nodded my head. Go ahead. My dad mouthed. Thank You! I mouthed back while walking out the door. I was walking a few streets over when I saw a familiar face.
"Hey Jen!" My old friend Anna said. I just nodded. "So what's going on with you?" She asked me.
"Nothing." I answered I was shutting her out I know but I can't tell anyone about Josh.
"Jenna don't lie! I know you. were best friends for crying out loud!" She yelled at me.
"We used to be best friends." I said. She just looked at me shocked.
"Well ok then." Anna said. while walking away. I started walking back to my house. Knowing my mom would be freaking out because I'm not at the house. I looked at my phone. I left at three and it's now five thirty. I had three new text messages. two were from my mom. and one was from my dad. I opened my mom's first. 'Jenna where are you? It's been two hours. Come home!' Then my dad's. 'Jen please come home!' Then my mom's. 'Jenna Marie! you better be home soon young lady!' I laughed. She sounds mad but she never yells. That's what I love about my mom even if shes angry she never yells. I was walking up my driveway when I saw a police car sitting there. I ran into the house. Scared of why there was a police officer here.
