9. Tingles

Abbey POV

She was bigger than I imagined her to be. I was expecting a small frighten wolf but instead I'm looking at a warrior. She stood tall on four legs. The sun was directly above of us, reflecting off her fur snow like fur. I was breathless for a moment. I was lost for words.

As if she had forgot I was here she turned spotted me and froze in place. Probably scared. All her senses are heightened. I'm not a creature that you should pass on lightly. You can feel my presence radiating off me. I took a step close to her but she growled.

I couldn't help it. I smirked.

"You know" I continued walking towards her.
" you're growls don't scare me and I know you're not going to hurt me." I stopped in front of her and looked up.

"So why bother?"

She huffed in my face.

I shrugged me shoulders.

"I want to shift but I rather just run with you as I am" knowing damn well it takes forever for me to shift. Shifting earlier was a fluke and it probably won't happen again.

I waited for her to answer me but still no word.

I mind link her.

How are you speaking to me!!  She yelled.

First off I wish for you to bring your voice down and second we can communicate through the link we have.

It's too much to explain at the moment and probably too much for you handle as of now. I rather tell you when you're calmer and not hot headed.

Why would anything you tell me get me hot-headed? It's not like I know you, for you to be keeping secrets.

What the hell does that mean!? She growled.

I rolled my eyes at the wolf.

There are things we need to discuss Nicole. Some you may not want to hear but only at a later time. No more discussion on it.

I took off. I hope she gets the message.

I love running especially in the woods. I always find a house with a yard connecting to the woods. I love the privacy of it. Even though I had problems shifting, I always felt the need to run to feel the wind on my face. To feel free.

I jump up and landed on the tree looking for her. She was still miles back but I hear trying to catch me.

Finally she stop but didn't look up.

I grinned.

She has a lot to learn about using her senses. She could of easily spot me.

I jumped over to another tree quickly and quietly. Her ears perked up but still was oblivious to where I was.

I scaled down the tree that was behind her and still didn't look back. She needs training. I don't like that she's this clueless. Anyone can hurt her and I don't like that. Not one bit.

Shift.

'Because of how long it takes. No thank you.

I want my mate. She's calling for me.

'Our mate. And I don't hear her saying my name'

Just do it.

'Fine beast but only this time will I listen to you. You haven't been around for hundreds of years. You being here or not makes no difference to me. So enjoy your time.'

I started taking my clothes off since I didn't want it to rip during the transformation. I threw them near the tree. The sudden nose of my clothes hitting the tree made her quickly turn around.

She froze once she notice my naked appearance.

She just stood there watching me. I was never shy or felt anything but confidence when I was naked before a woman but this time it's different. Her eyes on me made my stomach drop, my heart speed up and tingles all over my body.

I had no problem earlier taking my clothes but now I wasn't just focusing on shifting. I was focusing on her.

I felt myself heat up but I don't know if it's from my body starting to shift or from her gaze.

Focus. My wolf growled.

I rolled my eyes.

Finally after 5 minutes of agonizing pain. I was on all four.

I howled loudly, making the birds on the near by trees scattered.

I look to see if Nicole was still watching me and she was. I gave her a wolfy grin and took off running.

I heard her growl.

I laughed but it came out as a bark.

I slowed down so she can keep up but I didn't expect her to tackle me to the ground. We rolled for a few seconds before I was able to stand.

I try to nip at her paws for pay back but she quickly dodge my attempt.

I guess I did underestimated her.

I mind link her.

'What was that for'

'I don't know I just saw an opportunity and took it just like some people I know'. Oh god she's still upset about everything.

She started to circle me.

'If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you won't win love.' I told her.

She stopped walking.

I'm tired of fighting. She sounded defeated.
Something in me broke. For the first time in a very long time, I had the urge to comfort her. I wanted her to forget her problems and just be there with me. In this moment.

I walked up to her nudge her.

'I'm not going to hurt you. I will never hurt you' the words just flow right off my tongue and I meant it. I never wanted to hear her sound like that ever again as long as I'm here.

She didn't say anything back. So I continued.

'Just run with me. This is why we are here. To be free.It's just me and you out here. Just enjoy the moment'
