Chapter 7 / sleepover

I wake up and my head hurts like hell, I open my eyes to a bright unfamiliar room, I look for my phone and it's not on the bedside table I turn and see Grayson laying beside me.

It scares me at first, I haven't woken up next to Grayson since I was like 11 when I would always have sleepovers with E and Gray
I finally find my phone and look through my texts

Al dog 💗: SO MUCH HAPPENED LAST NIGHT
Al dog 💗: we needa talk

Momma 🐻: id rather you be home
Momma 🐻: fine, be home by 9:30 tomorrow morning

I look at the time and see it's 9:21am
"Uh I gotta go" I say to myself realising it said it out loud
Grayson turns over and smiles as he sees me but I continue grabbing my stuff
"I have to go" I say frantically
"Okay, go where" he says
"Home" I look at the clock next to Grays head and it now says 9:22
"How are you going to get home?" He asks
"Shit" I murmur
"I can drive you" he says
I smile in relief
"Okay good, but we have to go now"

We hurry down stairs to the car that's still in the same spot as last night, the whole trip I'm on my phone going through texts, checking my story and making sure I didn't do anything stupid then I realise, why did I stay at Grayson's last night and why were we in the same bed?

"Gray, did we uh.."
he looks at me then realises what I was gonna say
"No, no, no I would never" he says
"Wow, I didn't know I was that ugly" I laugh to myself
"No I didn't mean it like that" he says trying to back track
"I just mean I would never while you were intoxicated" he says looking at me
I smirk "but you would if I wasn't intoxicated" I joke
He laughs and his face goes red
"didn't know you did that kinda stuff" he says keeping his eyes on the road still blushing
"I'm not as innocent as you think" I laugh
"What? little Gracie bear doing dirty things with a boy" he mocks
He hasn't called me Gracie bear since we were 9
"Really? Gracie bear?" I say seriously and he just laughs as he pulls up to my house
"I'll text you" he says as I open the door
"Do you even have my number?" I laugh
"Yeah, got it from Nash last night"
"Oh, well then" I say
"Bye Gracie bear" he smirks
"Bye Grayson" I laugh shutting the door

Maybe he hadn't changed that much

I walk inside and mom rushes to see me
"What were you thinking, I told you to come home last night"
"Sorry, it's just everyone left and we decided to clean up early, I didn't think you'd mind because it was only Nash" I say trying to sound innocent
"Your lucky it was only Nash" she says firmly
She would probably rather me say I stayed at Grays I mean she always wanted us to be together
"Where's Ally?" She says concerned
I truely didn't know where she was "Nash dropped her home" I lie
"So she's okay?" She asks
"Uh huh" I say running upstairs

I get into my room and call Ally to come over, I had to tell her about last night and she needed to tell me what happened with Matt
She didn't answer so I texted her

Me: babe, where are you?
Al dog 💗: just got home
Me: can you come to mine?
Al dog 💗: I'll be there in an hour

While I waited I decided to have a shower, I take off all the crusty makeup from last night and wash my face
I take off the clothes Gray gave me and lay them on the bed, he's so sweet letting me wear his clothes, I try not to smile like an idiot.

"No Grace, you can't fall for him, he broke your heart once and he'll do again"

I get in the shower and it's never felt so nice, after a long while I hop out and dry myself off. I sit on my bed in my towel and go on Instagram but I'm quickly distracted when an unknown number texts me

Unknown: hey, it's gray
Me: hello stranger
Unknown: soooo last night
Me: soooo last night
Unknown: it was nice talking to you again, felt like old times ;)
Me: they were the best times

I sit there with butterflies in my stomach while Ally bursts in my door
