~ Laura's POV ~
I have been having bad dreams a lot lately. I have been waking Ross up a lot with my screaming. I feel bad cause he hardly gets any sleep when it should be me hardly getting sleep. I decided to sleep on the couch tonight. "I don't care if I don't get any sleep! All I want is for you to be ok" I sighed, Ross has been bugging me not to sleep on the couch, "I know but you deserve to get a good nights sleep" He sighed. I feel like I'm annoying him with all my bad dreams about Maia getting revenge on me. I went into the living room and set up the couch the way I wanted it for tonight. "Alright fine, if I cant stop you I wont try" he said. I sighed, "I'm sorry, I just wish I could stop all this nonsense but I cant" He nodded. I smiled at him and he smiled back. "Trust me, if I could stop it I would" I said putting my hands in his. I gave him a quick kiss and finished setting up the couch.
I was asleep on the couch when I heard noises. I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes. I got up and went into the kitchen, turned on the light and looked out the window. It was raining and then all of a sudden there was a loud clap of thunder. I jumped a little and then I heard the door open and close. It sounded all creaky like in a haunted house. I quickly turned the light off and hid in a empty cabinet. I heard footsteps and I closed my eyes shut. I held my breath. I didn't really hear anything until someone spoke up, "Oh Laura! Where are you?" It was Maia. I didn't speak, or move. I quietly started to breath again. I soon fell asleep in the cabinet.
~ Ross' POV ~
I walk downstairs and see Laura's not on the couch. I guess she must be up already. I went into the kitchen and Laura's not there either. I started to get a little worried. "Laura?" I heard a small ow from the cabinet. I open it and see Laura in there. I help her out and she hugs me. "Laura? What were you doing in the cabinet?" She pulled back and looked to the floor. I lift her head back up and ask her the question again. "Cause, last night, Maia broke into the castle and was looking for me" she whispered. I sighed, "Your sleeping in my room tonight" She nodded and we went back into the living room.
Laura and I decided to get out of the castle for a while. "What if we run into Maia? What if you go somewhere and Maia comes after me? What if she follows us? What if-" I cut her off, "Laura! Calm down! I will be here with you no matter what" She smiled up at me and I smiled down at her. We went to the mall and went to the food court. "Go get us a-" I started but Laura cut me off. "I'm not leaving your side" I nodded and we got in line. After we ordered our food we got a table and ate our food. As we walked home, we talked about the movie we just saw. "Eh, I guess it was alright" Laura said shrugging her shoulders. I rolled my eyes playfully and said, "You loved it. I know you did" She laughed and nodded, "Ok it was really good. No wait amazing!!!" I laughed and put my arm around her shoulder.
~ Laura's POV ~
- LAURA'S DREAM -
I was in the living room watching tv. I had on one of Ross' sweatshirts, some comfy pants and my uggs. I heard a knock at the door and opened it. The second I saw who it was I regretted it. "Hey Laura, where were you last night? I wanted to visit you put I didn't find you" Maia said. I slowly backed up, I backed up in the direction of the stairs. Ross was upstairs so that's why I backed up to the stairs. When I reached them, I ran upstairs as quickly as I could. I ran to Ross' room and closed the door. "Oh Laura" I heard Maia say. I turned around and saw Ross standing there. He put his hand on the doorknob. I looked down and said, "Please Ross don't do this to me!" I looked back up at him and he sighed, ''I'm sorry'' He opened the door and Maia pushed me to the floor. I looked up but things were kinda blurry cause of my crying. I then felt someone kick me in my side. I cried in pain.
- END OF DREAM -
I slowly opened my eyes. I looked over and saw Ross laying on the bed looking up at the ceiling. ''Ross what are you doing up? Did I wake you up again?'' I asked getting nervous. He laughed and shook his head no. I sighed in relief. 'That's strange' I thought. I guess I said that aloud cause Ross asked me what was strange. ''Oh well I had a bad dream but I guess I didn't wake up screaming'' He sat up on his elbows, ''That is strange'' I nodded and then looked at the time. 6:56AM 'That's also very strange' I thought. I looked over at Ross who was looking up at the ceiling. ''Ross? Why are you up so early?'' He shrugged, ''Just woke up and couldn't go back to bed'' I got up and went downstairs. I poured me a glass of orange juice when I felt two arms go around my waist. I smiled and took a sip of my drink. I then sat it on the counter and turned to Ross. I put my arms around his neck and stood on my tippy toes to reach Ross' lips. I gave him a quick kiss and smiled up at him. He smiled back and I rested my head on his chest.
''You know what we should do?'' Ross asked me. I looked at him confused and he rolled his eyes playfully while laughing. I roll my eyes playfully and he continues, ''You should come meet my siblings'' I raise an eyebrow, ''I thought you were an only child?'' He smirked and said, ''That's just what I told you'' I laugh and nod. He smiles and pulls out his phone. I guess he's calling one of his siblings. "Hey Rocky!" he said into the phone. Him and his sibling talked for a few till Ross hung up. "Lets go to see my siblings" he said standing up and taking my hand. We walked upstairs and got dressed. I was in a red sweater shirt that said 'Walk the Moon' It was Ross' I then had on some ripped black legging and black boots. I didn't really care if my outfit matched or not. I straightened my hair and put on a grey beanie. I walked back downstairs and waited for Ross to finish getting ready.
