Chapter Fifteen

I woke up and I smelled food cooking I got up out the bed washed my face and brushed my teeth and walked out my bedroom and Aliyah was on August's back and he was flipping pancakes I stood there watching them smiling and August looked up at me and smiled

"Morning beautiful" he said

I chuckled "Boy please I look like the wicked witch of the west"

"Nah not this morning" he said

I laughed at him and sat down at the breakfast bar and Aliyah got down from August's back. Aliyah was wearing jeggings with a golden colored top and a jean jacket with her black Nikes

"Mommy you like my outfit?"  she said doing a spin

I nodded

"August dressed you?"

She nodded "And gave me a bath brushed my teeth and did my hair too and yesterday when I had a bad dream he held me until I fell asleep"

"Aw that's sweet of you August"

"Yeah I know I do it with my nieces all the time"

I nodded

"I'm gonna go get dressed"

I got up and went in the bathroom I showered and I put on a light blue strapless sun dress with some white sandals and I put my hair in a braided bun. I walked out my room and sat at the breakfast bar and Aliyah sat in the middle and me and August sat on opposite ends

"Thanks for fixing my plate August"

he nodded and I started cutting up my food

"Mommy he made me a heart pancake!" Aliyah beamed

"That's good Liyah now eat" I said sticking pancakes in my mouth

August cut up her pancakes and poured syrup on them

After we finished eating I packed Liyah's weekend bag

"I don't want to go mommy!" Aliyah said

"Liyah you wanted to go last weekend..So your going your dad wants to spend time with you"

Aliyah lip quivered

"Don't you dare start crying"

Aliyah lip stopped quivering and someone rung the doorbell. I stood up and August was on the couch. I opened the door and Duhwayne stood there

"Hey Duhwayne..she's almost ready"

Duhwayne crossed his arms over his chest

"That's all you got to say to me? No apology? No baby can I come with you and Liyah"

I shrugged my shoulders

"Apologize for what?"

"Hanging up on me yesterday..That's what I'm waiting on"

"What the hell Duhwayne?  This shit ain't like you!" I yelled

"First you leave me at a club looking like a complete fool then why I'm tryna ask why you left your ass hung up on me yesterday..-"

I put my hand up to stop him from continuing on to speak

"This conversation is over with"  I said turning back to go back into the apartment

He grabbed me and yanked me back, I let out a noise and Aliyah came out and I yanked my arm back

"You ready to go?" Duhwayne said picking her up
