Chapter Twenty-Six

After we left my mom I drove up to the graveyard and Aliyah looked out the window "Dad what are we doing here?" she asked "Dad has to visit someone really special to him" I said getting out the car with them LaTavia grabbed my hand as we walked through the graveyard and my body tensed up as I approached Melvin's tombstone this always happens when I visit his gravesight a few tears fell from my eyes and LaTavia rubbed my back and kissed my cheek I squatted down as I said a silent prayer to Melvin as I stood back up and viewed his tombstone again before I pulled on her hand signaling I wanted to leave and Aliyah wiped my face and kissed my lips "I don't like you to be sad daddy" she said laying her head down on me. I sighed "I just got in yesterday what do you want?" I heard her chuckle "I want to see you August,  that's what I want" I looked over at LaTavia her baby bump seemed to get bigger and bigger everyday "Emonie, I can't do that" I said "Aw come on August just come down to the club one dance that's all I ask just one. Your girlfriend won't find out about it" she said "Emonie.." I started "Please August.." she begged "Fine just one and I'm out" "Okay.." I hung up and slipped my phone in my pocket going back in the room "Who was that baby?" LaTavia asked "My mom she just wanted to know did I visit Melvin..that's all" I lied "Um okay, well I'm going to go walk around the hotel.." She said getting up off the bed "Want me to come with you?" she shook her head "No you stay with Aliyah." she said putting on her sandals and walking out the room.

I listened as Lorraine continued to complain as I pushed the elevator button and we walked in a familiar smell was in the elevator an expensive perfume "Duhwayne are you even listening to me?" I shrugged my shoulders "No, we are going to that family reunion and that's final Lorraine damn!" Lorraine got quiet as the perfume continued to fog up the elevator and we walked out "So where do you wanna go Lorraine?" I asked grabbing her hand "I don't know do you wanna see any if your family members?" I shook my head "No I'm okay I'll see them at the reunion"  "So let's just go walk around the beach then" Lorraine said pulling me out the elevator I nodded as I stepped out the elevator and I caressed her hips as we walked outside shit I sucked my teeth "It's hot as shit outside" I said unbuttoning my shirt "So baby why haven't you been to any of your family reunions but you suddenly wanna go to this one?" It was around eleven O'clock and I sat up on the bed as I checked my phone I had three missed calls from Emonie, I guess she really wanted me to come through, little mama was still sleeping and I got up out of her bed and I put back on my clothes since when I got in I put on some shorts and I walked back into me and LaTavia's room closing the doors behind me LaTavia looked up from the TV "You're up I see" I nodded "Mhmm" I said picking up the keys to the rental "I'm going out with my boys  I'll be back later" LaTavia frowned "And you just gonna leave me here? Okay bye" she said I sensed that she was mad "Baby I'll be back at two" she looked at me "Do I have your word?" I nodded "Yeah you got my word" I said I leaned in to kiss her but she turned her head "Baby.." I said "Bye August" I pulled her face down and I kissed her then she kissed me back and a small smile appeared on her face "I'll be back at two you got my word baby" I said before leaving out the hotel. When I arrived it was crowded but I knew the strip club like the back of my hand and I entered the back way as girls stared me down with lust trying to get me to go to there section of the sex filled club but I sat in Emonie's section "Yo wassup nigga!"
