"WHAT!?" I shouted back, suddenly not hungry. How could they send me away like this? "I'm not even sixteen I'm barely fifteen!" " Oh honey, don't be like this its only one summer!" he said calmly. "Plus you will have running water, you'll be close to some stores. "We will also send you an allowance". Allowance or not, I still can't believe they're sending me away. "You'll leave next Friday" my mom finally said. After that, I stomped upstairs slamming the door so that the whole house would shake. I look around my room thinking. Wow, all of the things I'm familiar with will be left behind for three months. I start to pack my duffel bag. I put my clothes, hairbrush, all of my money and my toiletries. The next day I sulked outside dragging my cobalt blue duffel bag on the ground, thinking that if I walked slow enough then I would leave later. Sitting in the gray ripped seat in the car I was wondering if I could survive for even a week. All of my summer plans are gone, never to be used.
