I decided to unpack my stuff and then go shopping. I walked into the bedroom looking around, the bed was just a mattress so I had to buy sheets, but other than that it wasn't bad. When my stuff was put away I grabbed my light purple bike from the living room and left this dumpy apartment complex. Riding along the cracked sidewalk I saw some guys hanging out by the Payless Liquors. I noticed as I passed them they stared and stared until I passed. I was so intent on staring back that I didn't see the light blue Chevy come into view until the driver rolled the window and said. "MOVE IT MOVE IT MOVE IT!!" yelled the man in the Chevy. Well, now I know what kind of town this is. The cold air that hit me as I walked into Bed Bath and Beyond felt like a relief, accomplishment. Again the question of whether I would survive or not kept recurring in my mind. I didn't pick anything elaborate for my sheets only one grey sheet and a blue quilt. I was quick to hurry back home, this time not staring at the crazy drunk guys by the liquor store. I sped over the potholes up to 2B. There was a lady standing our front. She looked like she was in her 80's. She was wearing a sweater with cats on it and khaki pants. "Hello dear I'm your neighbor Ms. Cronin." she said, "Hi I'm Mariana"
