Driving through the country looking at all of the green corn swaying in the wind along with the tall bright green trees by the side of the road. M parents were sitting quietly in the front seats. I wonder if they will miss me? Or will they breeze right past my room not even looking twice? "Here we are!!" my mom says cheerfully. Yep, they won't even care. The apartment complex was in the middle of dumpy and brand new. The buildings were painted gray with red and white window shutters. "You will be in apartment 2B," said my mom behind my giant luggage pile. As we walked to 2B I saw a swimming pool and a laundromat. Apartment 2B had a smelled kind of like old food. The carpet was brown with white walls. The one and only room is small with an even smaller closet. And the kitchen is tile all around. Tile ceilings, tile floors. "Alright honey there are many job opportunities and places to eat. We will send you 20$ a week." my mom said looking like she regretted sending me that much money. "Alright goodbye mom, ill miss you" "Bye honey see you in 3 months!" she said not looking the least bit sorry. She turned and walked out the door. I watched her step into the car from the window thinking, how on earth is this supposed to work out?
