Chapter 2-

I wake up to the sun shining down on my face, I must have left the curtains open before I went to sleep last night. I can already hear my mum's endless yelling for me to get up and have breakfast.

I sigh and get up, my dream still fresh in my mind. A pair of dark eyes, in them stood a beautiful flame, burning slowly yet strongly. But dreams are merely just dreams, a figment of our imagination that our own poor brain creates to keep us occupied. So with that simple explanation, I put the dream aside, knowing that soon it would be forgotten. Just like any other dream I have ever had.

After making myself presentable enough to go downstairs, I took the stairs 2 at a time. Seeing my mum tell me, to hurry up and eat breakfast, so I could get ready.

Standing in my room, in front of me piles of clothe scattered on the ground. Still unsure of what exactly to wear. "Why did I care anyway?" I murmured to myself. It's just a silly old gathering, nothing special. Why must I always dress nicely? It’s just a bother really.

Finally I spot a dress in the back of wardrobe with a tag on it, wondering when I had bought it; I take it out of the closet and try it on.

Looking in the mirror i decided this was perfect for today. It wasn't too fancy or to simple, it  balanced well and was quite a white gorgeous spring dress to wear, on a beautiful sunny day, like today.

Applying my usual light make up on. This consisted of foundation, eyeliner, mascara and a hint of lip gloss to give my lips that little bit of shine that they needed. I had always believed Lipstick was over rated.  It’s just too icky and strong for me. I brush my hair and scruff it up a bit, giving it that little volume. Now I was officially good to go.

Before leaving I shove the novel. I am currently addicted to, into my bag. For when, or if I can make a quiet get away from the crowded crowd, that would surely have already filled the house by now.

I head downstairs, seeing my mum making her way towards the car and follow. Did I mention I am an only child, raised by a single mother. I hear the car start and wait for the sun to shine on my window, leaving a small heat on my skin, while listening to the slow hum of the car increase with every second that passed by.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a long 15 minute drive, of which i had closed my eyes and listened to the deep, energetic music on my iPod, feeling the sound wash my worries and doubts away.

Stepping out the car was easier said than done.  The fact that I knew what awaited me had made it all the more harder. When we enter, this is exactly what is expected, kisses from family members, long forgotten chats about our lives and things like that. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely adore talking. Although when it came to people that I haven’t seen in a while or don't know, it can be difficult and uncomfortable. I am usually used to this by now, but something deep inside my heart and brain, was telling me to stay far away from here.

Pushing away these feelings, I try to relax and enjoy myself. I see that people in the house had spotted us and were on their way to welcome us. So as usual I put on a brave smile and walked with confidence. Into the house that changed my life.

Ps. sorry about the grammer, if its bad, I am not quite as great at I hoped :D If you want to point them out to me, it would be greatly appreciated :D :D

Lots of love

Lily :)
