Jade's POV
I was sitting on the hospital bed as the doctor check the cuts on my knuckles and hands. I squeezed my eyes shut as they wrapped around cloth to my wound. Leigh-Anne walked into the room shortly after. Gladly, she hadn't heard my yelping as they cleaned me up. It hurt so much. At the moment I wasn't the strongest I could be.
"Are you feeling better," she asked, "I would ask you if you were okay but I know that answer."
