Don't get discouraged. This book covers info I wish I had known when I first joined Wattpad.
Unfortunately, attracting readers can be one of the hardest things to do, though as your brand builds this will become easier. First, make sure you have good "Clickbait" for a cover. Find something that suits your story but stands out. It needs to be eye-catching and tells a story, like the picture shown below.

Changing your covers every few months also helps to attract different readers. I suggest having at least three different covers to switch throughout the year. I have noticed that company's like Netflix, quite often do this same with title images for their content.
Next, it really does help to share your stories on the Wattpad groups. Posting stories usually works better if you list all of your works in that genre. They will allow this, as long as it is all on the same post and in the same genre. Below is an example of one of my posts. When posting, be sure to include a hyperlink to each of your stories.

The newest way I have been getting readers is Wattpad's Story Request Board. Here many other users are looking for "hidden gems" on the site. Some want to find something similar to their favorite book, while others are looking for something unique to read.

All I do is simply look for a post that seems similar to one of my stories genres. Like this one looking for fairy tale retellings.

While my story "The Perfect Gift" is a fairy tale, it is not a retelling. I post it anyway since is with in the same genre.

I have found that whenever I share my stories like this, many other users that are not the original poster will hit the like button and go on to read the story.
