Part 16 - Runaway Part 1

Bailey's POV

Ashton and I seemed to really hit it off. He seemed much friendlier than Calum or the other boys and had a laugh that was aboslutely contagious. We had a lot in common and he said that he had a wonderful girlfriend named Vicky which I found really cool cause my best friend had the same name.

Speaking of her, I really missed her and the other girls. I still could remember how we would our weekends together and or message conversations could be completely random, but it never failed to keep me sane from the mess which was my life.

But I had to admit, it was kinda thrilling when this whole incident happened. Although it was angering that I couldn't see my friends or the city as much anymore, Calum had treated me like a queen, except for throwing me in a locked room, and gave me all I could ever wish for. He showed true care and concern which my parents could never show and made me feel like I was worth something.

Ashton did also say that I was able to meet his girlfriend and the other two girls soon so at least I could have some girl company. Speaking of company, I heard the door bell ring and looked over to Ashton. He gave me a terrified look and urgently told me to hide.

I was beyond terrified. If something could make Ashton worried or scared, it had to be serious. I quickly ran up to Calum and I's room where it was the only place in the house which I felt safe.
My heart was practically beating out of my chest.

Lots of shouting was heard until a gunshot was fired and everything went silent. Then, the sounds of loud footsteps echoed through the stairway towards all the rooms. What if it was Ashton that had been shot? I couldn't fend for myself. It was then when I heard the familiar Australian accent calling out my name.

I heaved a sigh of relief as I opened the door to reveal Ashton running around looking for me. Although the intruder had probably been shot dead, Ashton still seemed worried. Like something major was going to happen next.

Ashton hurriedly rushed into the room and tried explaining to me as calmly as he could about everything.

"Bailey, we have to get out of here now. Its not safe here anymore since 'they' found out our location. I'll inform Calum and the boys later but you need to pack up now. Pack a luggage for you and Calum and leave me to do the rest. The sooner, the better," Ashton instructed before rushing off to the other boy's rooms to pack their things.

A million of questions were still unanswered in my mind. Who were 'they' ? Where could we possibly go to hide now? And was I
going to really be safe? I pushed all my questions to the back of my mind and decided not to ask them now.

Pulling out a luggage from above the cupboard of clothes, I unzipped it and began grabbing specific clothing items for different occasions as I wasn't sure where we were going anyways. I then decided to put in some toiletries and first aid kits. This seemed like the most important things too me so I quickly walked down to wait for Ashton.

It didn't take long for him to come down with 2 luggages which one seemed to be packed to the brim. He then ushered me out of the mansion not before opening the garage to reveal 2 stunning vehicles; a sleek red Ferrari which didn't even have a single scratch or dent and it was clear that it had been polished with wax, a black SUV van which only the important of the most important could have access to as it was made of the best bulletproof glass, titanium steel and best leather seats and could hold a whole hacking system at the back of the van.

We quickly hopped into the black SUV and sped off.
