Chapter 8

Blakes POV
I had to travel over with the group. When we arrived I had to say if I had any weapons. I nodded at the person and they asked why. I showed her my badge and she nodded. Everyone got cleared and we boarded the plane. Before I put my bag on the trolley I took my handgun out and tucked it into my jacket. When I sat down everyone asked why I took so long. I opened my jacked enough so they saw the gun. They all nodded then someone approached us. The showed me his badge. He said someone put in a report of me having a gun. I showed him my gun and he tried to arrest me. I said I have permission to have one on me. He asked me prove it. I opened my bag and grabbed my badge. I showed him and he apologised. A few hours later we arrived in Hawaii. We get off the plane and I saw Chin. I grabbed our bags and walked over to him. We all get in the car and Chin asked if I have the guns. I say yes and he tells me to hand them out.
I turn around and say don't mess around with them. They all nod they I grab my smaller bag. I hand all they guns out and they are all amazed.

Chin pulls up outside the Palace and I get out and walk in normally. Everyone else stays near Chin apart from Melo she runs in front of me. Steve walks in and asks me to take them to practice shooting. I nod and tell them to follow. They all follow and we head to the shooting field. I show them how to load the gun and aim. They go through 10 rounds each then Kono pulls up. She gets out and says someone is on the other side of the field trying to kill Blade. I grab my bag and get my new sniper rifle out I set it up and asked Kono if it was a shoot to kill situation. She nodded and I got down. Kono told all the group to back up. He comes into view and I shoot. It goes straight through between his eyes. He head back to the Palace and he asked Kono how she got a sniper when hers is in her office. She said I didn't shoot. I lift my bag up and get my sniper out.

Danny walks out of his office when I bring it up into aiming position. He quickly walked out the room. I put my gun away and reload my hand gun. Just as I finish I heard a gunshot. I remembered I still have my bulletproof vest on. I run down the stairs and see the gun pointed at Steve. I run in front of him and he has a go at me. I smile then begin doing flips and cartwheels. I land a flip and shoot. It goes through the head. Steve is amazed. Danny comes out with his gun lifted. I look at him and say too late. Steve laughs then says if he shot me chest I would have died. I look at him and say no I wouldn't have. He looks at me like I'm crazy so I lift my shirt showing the bulletproof vest. He begins laughing. Chin walked in and says I could have died. Me and Steve start laughing even more. Danny and Kono then walk in saying the same thing. I ask Steve if I should tell them and he nods. I take off my shirt showing my vest. Chin then starts laughing as well. Then a new person walked in and told Steve to look at the screen. It showed me saving him. The guy then said that he is going to track him down so the team can thank him. When he finished everyone started laughing. He looked at me looking confused. I show him my badge and gun. He asked who I was. I shake his hand and say Commanding Detective Blake Halstead. He looked shocked that I was a Commanding Detective. Just and he said his name Dad,Connor,Ethan,Erin
Severide and Voight walk in. They all say their surname. Voight walked over and gave me a new badge. Dad saw the video playing and starts laughing. Chin asked if I had done it before. Dad nodded. Then I started feeling dizzy. I went over to the seat and sat down. Connor walked over and asked if I was ok. I told him I felt dizzy. He asked Ethan to bring the bag over. He started checking my blood pressure and everything. He said I was fine and I might have just been light headed. Steve asked if I wanted to eat. I nodded then we all left. The group met us at the beach. Nobody was expecting to see their parents. We stayed there for a few hours. Steve chucked me a key and said me and Melo had our own apartment. I asked him if I was allowed to drive. He nodded and gave me a key to a hire car. Before I left Severide gave me a condom and smiled. I glared at him but still took the condom from him. When me and Melo arrived at the apartment I said she could have the bed. She told me only if I cuddled her. I followed her to the bedroom. I started singing and she fell asleep. Not long after I fell asleep.
