Students running out of the so called prison, them conversing about whether or not they had money for ice cream trucks that would always be parked in front of the school, or about the new drama happening. As this was happening inside an almost empty classroom, 16 year old Ivy was packing up her stuff, getting ready to leave.

She bid her farewells to one of her favorite teachers and walked out with her headphones blasting her favorite songs that drown out the words of the people around her, it was especially helpful since she wasn't the biggest fan of hearing the yells of the higher social rankers. Or what she calls them, "spoiled, undisciplined, careless, and dumb brats".

She walked down an old path that was all too familiar, bringing her memories of the year before. She was in her 3rd year of high school which meant that Jace as of now was in first year college. It brought a tinge of sadness in Ivy's center every time she thought about her and her boyfriend's old memories.  Even if he wasn't extremely far, it always felt that way when a day passed and she couldn't see him.
