Late night surprise (Norminah)

Chapter 6

It's been an hour since Normani left the house to go hang out with her "friend" and Dinah hasn't stopped thinking about her stupid little crush.She took a shower,ate breakfast and read a few articles on her phone,but not once did she take her mind off of Normani.

Her crush was plain stupid.First of all the girl is probably straight and Dinah mentally kicked herself for not thinking about that at all.Second of all,she is her roommate.Period.She didn't know anyone who dated their roommate.Third of all and most important of all,they met less than two days ago,it was insane how much of a crush Dinah had on Normani even though they were basically strangers.

But then Dinah remembered those big brown eyes and that chocolate skin,the way Normani smiled around her;and all of her theories and facts went crashing down.

Normani.Wow.

Meanwhile,Normani was still at a small cafe,having breakfast and conversing with her friend.

"I completely forgot to ask you how you settled in your dorm,are you happy with it?",Keith remembered.

They lost themselves in conversations about home and just catching up on everything they missed about each others lives since the last time they talked.

"The location and the apartment dorm itself are perfect",Normani smiled satisfied and genuinely happy that she settled down so easily.

Normani continued with a little blush on her cheeks,"my roommate is amazing too".

Keith raised his eyebrows,trying to figure out Normani's intentions with the word "amazing".His thoughts were answered immediately when he noticed Normani biting her lip.She always did that when she thought or talked about someone she liked.

"She cute?",the man asked,smiling.

Normani just hummed in confirmation,as she took a sip of her drink.

"Don't jump on the wagon immediately honey,she's your roommate and you don't even know if she's gay",Keith stated.He didn't want Normani to rush things,after all,if they dated and broke up someone would need to move away and he's guessing it would be Normani.It would just be inconvenient in that case.

Normani giggled,"I think that a big ass rainbow flag hung over her bed is pretty telling,but maybe she just likes it as room decor",she shrugged and smirked at the man.

"Okay,but how do you know that,you've been in her room already?",he asked amused.

"I slept in her bed.",Normani stated as a matter of fact.

"Woah,woah,you did what?",Keith was now on the edge of his seat,curious and confused.

"She carried me into her bed after I fell asleep on the couch.She told me I'd fuck up my back on the couch,so she slept on it and I slept in her bed.",Normani said remembering the sweet gesture.

"Mani.She totally likes you.",Keith said without any hesitation.

"I am very aware of that.Either way she's just so sweet and polite.We talked for a bit and she's incredibly smart too.Gosh,she's perfect.",Normani was very open and confident with Keith about liking Dinah.She trusts him with her entire being,he was like a brother to her.

"I'm glad you're happy",he smiled genuinely.

They talked for a while more before Keith had to leave for a photo shoot he had.He was a model for a men's fashion magazine which paid for his living expenses while in college.

Normani decided to pick some flowers up for Dinah,as an apology for not hanging out together.She wanted to make it up for the girl that seemed disappointed when Normani revealed that she had plans.

Dinah was in her room laying in her comfortable bed that she missed the night before.She kind of felt like she was invading Normani's privacy by being there even though the room was hers.

Some Netflix was playing on her laptop but she didn't pay to much attention to it.

She has a boyfriend Dinah,don't be an idiot;she thought to herself as she saw a girl and a guy kiss on screen.
You can't be jealous,he makes her happy you dumbass;she continued criticizing herself in her own head.

Her phone buzzed and brought her out of her thoughts for a second.It was a text from the girl she couldn't take her mind off.

Mani: I'll be home in a couple of minutes.

Dinah smiled and quickly typed a reply then set her phone down in her lap.She couldn't believe how happy she was to see Normani again.

Normani pulled out her phone out of her pocket.

Dinah: Hurry up!

Normani smiled and picked up her pace,it's going to be an interesting day.

I apologize for not updating yesterday.I had a hectic school week and I just couldn't find the time to write.I'll be sure to publish Chapter 7 tomorrow night as a way of apologizing for not updating yesterday.The regular Sunday upload is still happening.
