Tom screamed in panic as he dropped the letter. “No no no no no no no no!!” he yelled, and flung himself down the stairwell, almost falling and critically hurting himself. He burst out the front door and ran as fast as he could towards the forest, towards the ‘Safe haven”. The place he know Tord would be. He crashed through the trees and saw Tord, his starboy, standing at the edge of the rushing waterfalls pool. “TORD!!” he screamed. The teen turned around and looked at him, a bittersweet look on his face. “Kitty Boy..?” he said, puzzled. “Tord… Please don't go…” he said, barely above a whisper. “ But… I thought you didn’t love me…” Toward said quietly. “I do, tord, I love you more than anything. Please, it wasn't my choice, please don't leave me…” Tom said. Tord smiled slightly. “Alright, kittyboy,”
He was safe. His starboy was safe. He almost died, Tom blamed himself, but he was safe now. That was all that mattered.
-many years later-
Tom breathed heavily. He was going to do it. He was going to ask his starboy, his one true love, to marry him.
He approached tord. “Shame we never finished our bucket list, huh?” Tom said casually. Tord nodded thoughtfully. “We only had one thing left, too,” Tord said. Tom took a shaky breath. “ Do you remember what it was? The last thing on our list?” tom questioned. Tord nodded. “Marry someone,” he said. Tom slowly reached into his pocket and knelt down in front of his dear starboy.
Tord gasped as realization hit. “Tom…” he said quietly. Tom swallowed nervously. “Tord, will you be my one true love for the rest of our lives and marry me..?” he asked, quivering in fear and anticipation.
There was a silence.
Tom could feel tears brimming in his ‘eyes# when Tord finally whispered “yes” Tom looked at him. “Yes!” Tord said, louder than before, and threw himself onto Tom. He smiled as he slipped the ring onto Tords finger.
The ring was a diomand star.
Tord smiled And said, “I love you, kittyboy,”
“I love you too, my dear starboy,”
