Mistakes

This is my first fan fiction and I'm really excited! I have a great story planned out and so I hope you enjoy reading it!

I do the normal 7th grade things such as watch vines, play sports, and shop but one thing can really get in the way. Drama. There is so much of it at my school, and it's hard not to be apart of it all.

Hi, my name is Christina but people call me Christi for short. My life can be very stressful. For example, a couple weeks ago I got a D on my math test. My dad got so mad and I was grounded for a week. Plus, I play soccer and I'm always practicing since my dad's the coach. And craziest of all, I live in Hayes Grier's neighborhood. You may think I'm lucky but truly, sometimes I wish I could just fly away to California, where my mom is.

My parents got divorced when I was seven. It was a confusing time because so much happened so fast. I still live in North Carolina with my dad and my younger brother Kevin but I miss my mom so much. She knew everything about me and always was there for me. She never gave up on me. She is the most important person I will ever know.

Anyway, I have a best friend named Katie who is literally like my sister. We're on the same soccer team and we always hang out. Plus, we have all of out classes together! But one day, everything changed.

*At school

"You like him? Really?"

"Yes. He's so nice, funny, and makes awesome vines" Katie responded. I was shocked. Katie has never liked guys, especially popular ones. "yeah I guess so, but you will never have a chance with him", I said. "I guess, but I'm not giving up." Katie said confidently. It's cool that Hayes goes to my school, but I barely know him. I have only seen him in the halls and He talked to me twice for either asking "can I use your pencil" or saying "excuse me, your in my way". But that's it.

Ring ring ring. Finally, lunch. I was starving. "Hey!" Katie screamed across the hall. "Shh! Why are you so loud?" "Well, I just saw hayes! He actually looked at me!!" Katie replied excitedly. "Good for you?" just as I said that, Hayes was walking by and waved to me. "OMG! Christi! Hayes just waved to you" Katie yelled. "Shut up! He's going to hear!" I said. I was so happy inside but I knew I shouldn't show it. If Katie saw me excited, she would jump to conclusion and think I liked him! She always assumes things and so I've learned to keep my mouth shut. "Let's get to lunch. I'm starving." Katie said as she ran off to the cafeteria. "Omg, hayes waved to ME!" I whispered to myself and i ran after Katie.

"Should I get pasta or chicken?" Katie asked me while we were standing in the lunch line. "Chicken." I said but I didn't care at all. All I cared about was that hayes waved to me. Out of all the popular people in my grade, he chose me! for once in my life I feel special.

"You can't tell anyone that I like hayes or it will ruin my life", Katie said. "I won't, trust me." We almost reached my house when Katie blurted out "Ooh! I have big news!" "ok like what?" this could be good or bad. "I got hayes's number from his friend in science! I haven't texted him yet, I have to find the right time!" Katie said. I stopped walking. I had mixed feelings... I wasn't quite jealous but I was also excited for katie. I think I like hayes I thought to myself.
