*At soccer practice
"Hey! Christi over here!" Katie said waving her hands. "hey" I said panting. "why are you so tired?". "Well I rode my penny board here and I saw hayes... it was really awkward so I decided to ride fast so he didn't see me. I couldn't tell if he saw me or not." I said. Katie had a confused look on her face. "umm Christi.. do you like hayes?" she asked. "well no.. as a friend I guess." I said. it was a lie. I did like hayes but if I told katie, she would think way differently about me. "Come on girls!" my dad yelled from the field. Katie and I sprinted away.
After practice, I gathered my things and started to ride away. then all of a sudden I heard someone yell "hey! Christi!" I looked back to see who it was but before I knew it, I fell off my penny board. "crap!" I yelled but hoping it wasn't too loud. "whoa... are you ok? that was a pretty hard fall." He said. I could tell it was a boy so I looked over. it was hayes. "Oh.. yeah, me? yeah I'm fine!" I said. hayes laughed and helped me up. Wow... hayes helped me up! I pinched my self really quick to see if I was dreaming... I wasn't. I stood in front of hayes grier with a small grin on my face. I knew I was blushing but that didn't bother me, all I cared about was that hayes was there by me.
"so I was wondering if you wanted to hang out for a little while? just because I'm bored and I guess I could get to know you better." hayes said. I was in complete shock. I was speechless. all I could say was "yes." "great! do you wanna go to the park?" whoa whoa whoa... did hayes just invite me to the park? "of course! let me text my dad saying I'll be a little late for dinner." I said as hayes smiled. his beautiful smile and blue eyes made me smile as well.
