Once finished searching the tall bookcase full of books, Summer exhaustedly wondered next to Blazz, who was speed reading book after book. Summer plopped down next to her and buried her face into her hands, letting our a tired exhale.
"Find anything?" Summer asked. Blazz shut the one book she was reading and ahoved it to the side.
"There are many things that have been titled Desius, either in other languages or stuff that have been mythed. Nothing useful." Blazz said, and Summer groaned.
"We're getting nowhere! I hope the others are doing better than we are..." Summer groaned. Summer stood up from the mahogany table they were stationed at and stretched.
"Let's get back downstairs. They'd want to know about all the exoting things we found!" Summer said with a slight smile, and Blazz groaned.
"Your sarcasm is not appreciated." Blazz commented, which made Summer chuckle.
"Come on grouchy mc groucherson." Summer said as she started to make her way down the mansion stairscase and back towards the living room.
================================
As Summer and Blazz rejoined the team, the two females had noticed that Jason was getting paler by the minute. Summer turned to Hero, who was looking just as concerned as she.
"What's wrong with him dad?" Summer asked, and Hero rubbed his chin.
"His vitals seem to be stable, but his heart rate and breathing seem to be rapidly increasing..." Hero admitted.
"So on other words, he's dying but at the same time he's not?" Jerome asked, and Hero nodded.
"Correct." Hero said. Jaqui turned to Summer and Blazz.
"Find anything?" She asked.
"Nothing but myth and lore. Nothing important." Blazz answered, and Kermit groaned.
"So we're at a dead end?" Kermit asked, but no one replied back. Kermit exhaled.
"Wonderful..." He groaned. Mitch stood next between Quinten and Jerome, his arms lazily hung beside him and his eyes l looking at his feet. Suddenly, his hands felt like they were being stabbed by pins and needles and his knees got shakey. Jerome looked to him and a expression of concern appeared on his face.
"You okay?" Jerome asked, and Mitch shook his head.
"No... i-it's like I'm standing u-underneath an earthquake... I just c-cant stay on my f-feet..." Mitch said, and Quinten groaned.
"Actually... I'm not feeling that well either..." He admitted, and as the amphibian closed his eyes and opened them again, they were glowing a nrigjt teal. Mitch's were glowing a red color also. Jerome stuttered back, as did the others who were around them.
"Uh... b-b-biggums?" Jerome asked, and Mitch weakly looked to him confused.
"What's w-wrong?" Mitch asked. Summer walked up to them and waved her hand, a glass mirror appearing in front of the two men so that they could see thier eyes. Quinten gasped.
"What the hell?" Quinten asked himself. Suddenly, a jolt of energy erupted throughout both their bodies, making them jump and freeze as a vision appeared before them.
************
Quinten stumbled slightly as he ran through the dense forest surrounding the kingdom, appearing so that he was running from something. Quinten used his one arm to shove things out of his way, whilst he used the other to catipult himself around corners to make the journey quicker. Mitch was just in front of him, doing the same as Quinten but much more efficiently.
"Come on, Q! Almost there!" Mitch shouted, and Quinten nodded. The amphibian was running out of water, and his skin was becoming cracked.
"I-I can't keep g-going like th-this Mitch! I-If I do... I-I'll dry out!" Quinten said weakly, and for a moment Mitch didn't say a word. Then,
"Tell me when you cant anymore and I'll give you time." Mitch said cryptically, and continued to run. Minutes later, Quinten felt like he was on the urge of fainting when he called to Mitch.
"I-I can't an-anymore..." Quinten exhaled heavilly, and Mitch nodded to him.
"Go on, I'll cover you!" Mitch said as he stopped. Quinten stopped to look at him, but once he heard the roaring of the black storm behind him, Quinten bolted toward the end of the forest. Mitch stood his ground as the black storm came closer and closer towards him, his fists clenching as they bursted aflame. Mitch took a look at it before lifting his hand, the storm and him then making contact as there was a flash of white.
Quinten managed to get to a small riverbed off of the main path, smiling and leaping into it as he felt the sweet sensation of neutrition enteting his body. He then heard an explosion from a while back resurface, beginning him to believe that something had happened. When he heard the roar of the storm, Quinten then knew what happened.
Getting out of the pond swiftly, Quinten stood in the center of the fprest pathway and waited for the storm, ready to confront it. Putting his hand out toward the pond, Quinten watched as a stream of water floated out and around his hands. Quinten watched the storm come into view and sighed. This could turn one of two ways. He could fight, or die trying.
Quinten witness the storms power ad it ripped through the forest to reach him, until it was only a mile away. Quinten started then running towards him, until he was being propelled inwards, firing the water on his hands as there was a flash of white.
*************
When Quinten opened his eyes, they were brimmed wuth tears. His knees were shaking and his heart was pounding in his chest. He coped with what had just happened and looked to Mitch, who was in an equal state of shock. Jerome had Mitch's shoulders as he attempted in bringing him back to reality, but all he could do was get Mitch to look at him.
"What happened?" Quinted heard Ian ask, and Quinten gulped.
"I... I don't know... it just... appeared there... and..." Quinten stuttered. Ian placed his hands on his shoulders.
"You and Mitch could use some rest. Whatever you saw terrified you." Ian told him, and Quinten nodded, letting Ian guide him up to a spare room along with Jerome and Mitch.
