"Night Maxx,"

I smiled at the sleeping blonde next to me. "Cody?" I heard Zach's voice. "Yeah?" I looked at the open door where stood Zach. "About Maxx.." I slowly moved out of Maxx's grip and walked slowly to the door. "What about him?" Zach stayed silent for a few moments then spoke. "We overheard your conversation," He looked at the floor, slightly kicking the carpet underneath us. "I... it's okay.... just.. just don't let Maxx know, when he tells you and Dan pretend you didn't," He nodded "I just wanted to apologize, we shouldn't be eavesdropping on private conversations," "Zach, it's okay," Zach looked back up at me, with tears begging and begging to be set free. I pulled him into a hug, which he hugged back. There was a faint whimper in the background, "C-Cody?" I slowly pulled away from the hug, and held up my index finger and mouthing "one sec" to Zach before trailing over to Maxx, who was part awake part asleep. I gently poked him and his eyes fluttered open, fully. "Hey, you okay?" He slowly looked around then nodded to my question. "I-I think so.." "Give me a moment Maxx," Maxx slowly nodded again still looking around. "Is that all Zach?" I asked Zach with concern. "Yeah, it's nice to get that off my chest," I shot him a smile. "You can always talk to me I'm always here to listen," Zach gave me the same smile and trotted off to his room at the end of the hall. I turned around to Maxx sitting up with Pistol in his lap as he pet her head. "Sorry about that Maxx, Zach wanted to talk to me about something, so.." He nodded and I joined him back on the bed. Pistol walked over to me and started giving me small kisses on the forearm así went to the fetal position. A chuckle escaped my lips as she found her way to my face. "Thanks Pistol," I muffled through her fur. Maxx curled up so we could see each other's faces. Pistol walked away and off the bed. "Her fur is f*cking everywhere," I commented hold my noise so I didn't sneeze and wake up the entire city of Los Angeles. Maxx chuckled, scooting closer to me. "You would have been use to it if you stayed with me more," He whispered kissing the lower bridge of my nose. "Did I ever tell you I love you?" Maxx put a finger to his chin as if he was thinking. "Only a couple billion times," "Well, I love you, I love you, I love you," I grabbed his waist and pulled him closer. "How bout now?" "Still a couple billion, you just added three to the bunch," I let out a hum, my eyes closing. I slowly opened my eyes and whispered into Maxx's ear. "I love you," I gently licked his earlobe causing him to shiver and squirm a little. I let my head lie down on his shoulder, whispering sweet nothings kinda into his neck kinda into his jawline. He rolled onto his back causing me to fall onto his chest. "Hey!" I groaned playfully. He giggled. "What was that for?" "I wanted to see your pretty face," I felt my cheeks warm up and I turned my head to hide the fact. Maxx laughed quietly and softly. "The way you hide your face when you're embarrassed is cute," I faced him not making eye contact and inched my hand towards his and intertwined our fingers. I properly put my ear against his chest listening to his heartbeat as my head moved up and down with his breathing and closing my eyes.  Soon enough I heard gently snoring and I looked at Maxx sleeping softly with a small frown. A smile brighten my face as I pecked his soft lips as his frown also became a smile.
