Beginning notes: Hey guys, so this is my first oneshot since i've turned this book into a oneshot book. I look forward to this change honestly because it's easier for me to write short stories rather than long ones when it comes to fanfiction. However, I have a few concerns regarding the readers. I love that you all enjoy reading the book, but the amount of votes each chapter gets compared to the amount of views is a bit low. So please, if you enjoy my writing please leave a vote, to let me know you're liking it!
Also, this oneshot is actually kind of like a oneshot I did over on my other account, @blueflamedokumura but I thought it would be cute here as well. So, with that out of the way, let's begin the oneshot.
***
Your head seemed to throb as you rolled onto your side, pulling the blankets over your shoulders and groaning in pain at your awful condition. Your frustration only seemed to grow as your phone began to ring from just beside your head, causing your pain to intensify with the annoying sound.
You picked up your phone, looking at the screen to see who would be calling. Your mom's contact showed up on your phone, and you sighed, hitting the button to accept the call and putting the phone to your ear. "Hello?" You rasped.
"Hey hun," She chirped, her voice as cheerful as always. "I just wanted to let you know that i'm out of the house, and will be for the most of the day. I have some errands I need to run; but, if you need anything, feel free to call me and let me know!"
"Sure thing," You muttered. "Thanks, mom."
"You're welcome, I hope you feel better, love you!" She said, before hanging up.
You absolutely loved your mother's cheery attitude, but right now, since you were sick, you just felt irritated at everything, especially her loud tone. You placed your phone beside you again, making sure to turn the volume down so you could get some rest. You had been sick for two days, and missed school both days. Today was the third day, and you didn't seem to be getting any better.
You rolled over once again, finally able to get comfortable enough to ease your endless suffering to a minimum. You'd taken pain killers and fever reducers multiple times, though they didn't seem to help much. Darned cold, You thought bitterly. I like to miss school and all, but not like this.
You laid there for a long while, before finally you began to doze off, your breathing finally becoming a bit calmer, despite your stuffy nose and headache.
Unfortunately, little did you know that you missed quite a few phone calls from a very worried friend of yours.
***Small time skip***
A loud noise cut through your dreamless sleep, and you nearly fell of your bed as you jolted up. Though, that was a big mistake. The sudden movement caused your head to start hurting once again, and you felt as if you were about to pass out. You instantly brought your hand up to your head, groaning in pain.
"(Y/n?) Holy crap, are you okay?" You looked up to see a familiar brown-haired boy, a pair of orange goggles over his eyes and a mask over his mouth. "I called multiple times but you didn't answer, and I got worried."
"Toby," You relaxed slightly as you realized that the intruder wasn't a threat. Well, not to you at least. "Yeah, i'm fine. I'm just really sick."
"Oh," He said, twitching slightly as he walked over to your bed. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
You looked around the room, your vision a bit blurry from the sudden pain that was finally becoming a bit more dull. You noticed that the window in your room was still shut and locked, and you turned back to look at Toby as he pulled his mask down and his goggles over his head. "You can start by telling me how the heck you got in here?"
"Picked the lock on the front door." He shrugged as if it was something he did on a daily basis.
"Ah," You rolled your eyes and laid back down, feeling as if your head was about to burst.
"You didn't answer me though," He frowned and tilted his head as he gazed at you. "You're sick, so what can I do to help out?"
You opened your mouth to tell him you were fine and didn't need any help, but you stopped. You knew he would keep insisting on helping until you gave in, so you might as well not even start that argument. Not only were you too weak for that, but you did like the idea of having him around, at least until your mom got back.
"I just need a glass of water right now," You finally said, and Toby blinked and nodded slightly. He quickly left the room and not long after, he returned with a glass of water, handing it to you with a worried frown.
"There's got to be something else I can do that will actually make you feel better." He insisted, sitting down on the side of your bed. You sat up slightly and took a sip of the water, shrugging.
"I don't think so," You said as you placed the glass on your night stand. "I've been feeling sick for a few days, and no matter what kind of medicine I take it doesn't seem to help." You muttered, lowering your gaze.
Without warning, he reached out and placed the back of his hand to your cheek and you flinched slightly, surprised at the sudden gesture. He withdrew his hand, his face turning slightly red as he realized what he'd done. "You um," he stood up, avoiding your gaze. "You have a fever. Seems like a cold, hang on a moment." Without waiting for you to respond, he disappeared out of your room, and you smiled weakly to yourself. He may be a killer, but for some odd reason he had a huge soft spot when it came to you.
You forced yourself to relax as you waited for him to return, and not long after, he reappeared with a bowl of soup. You blinked in surprise, and smiled at him as he sat down on the side of your bed. He handed you the bowl, and you gladly accepted, taking a sip of it without hesitating. To your further amazement, it tasted like the best soup you'd ever had.
"Where'd you learn to cook?" You blinked at him, earning a nervous chuckle from the boy.
"It's nothing special," He said, twitching. "But I have to know more than just killing if I want to survive myself, you know."
"It tastes amazing," You said, drinking some more of the soup. After you'd finished, you set the bowl aside, and sighed in contentment. "Thank you, Toby."
"N-no problem," He smiled at you, his face turning a light shade of pink. "I'm glad I could help somehow."
"You've helped plenty, though, i'm quite cold." You said, realizing that you were shivering slightly. "I have a blanket in my closet if you could just-" You started, but stopped as you realized Toby had moved and crawled up beside you, grinning slightly.
"Body heat is better than a blanket." He stated, his expression smug.
"I'll get you sick if you get this close though," You protested as he scooted closer to you. He hushed you before shaking his head.
"I don't get sick that easily," He insisted, and you sighed as you gave in and finally decided to lay down, your back facing him. He moved so that he was against you, and he wrapped his arm around your waste, nuzzling into your neck.
You tensed as he breathed against your neck. "I'll keep you warm." He said, his voice quiet.
You realized that your mom wouldn't be back until later that night, so you got to spend quite a lot of time with him, even if it was just to cuddle. Your sickness suddenly seeming less agonizing, you relaxed at his touch, and eventually fell into a light sleep.
**END***
End notes: Hope you guys liked this one, it's so much easier writing oneshots rather than an entire story since i'm not as interested in creepypasta as I once was due to the fandom, which crashed and burned a long time ago xD Also I don't like those stories where the reader is actually fed by the character, which is why I didn't do that. Don't request those :,) They're really awkward to me, like, thanks I can eat my food on my own

RomanceI've turned this book into a oneshot book rather than a full story, but in the future look forward to some full-length stories xD The old chapters are still there, though!
