Sunlight filled your room, shining directly onto your face.
Sighing, you opened your eyes slightly, almost completely forgetting that you had a guest over.
You were about to get up when you realized that there was something around your waist.
Confusion made you sit still for a moment, wondering what it could be. You looked behind you, realizing that your guest had sneaked into your own bed.
You were shocked for a moment, before your face heated up.
Toby was sleeping soundly, only very lightly twitching every so often.
You softly grabbed his arm, and were about to move it off of you so you could get up, but he tightened his grip.
Your face stayed red, and you decided to wait until he woke up.
You lay there for a long while, almost dozing off once or twice.
After a while, you felt him shift, letting out a soft sigh.
"Finally awake?" You muttered.
He just huffed as a response.
"Why did you sneak in here when I was sleeping?" You turned to look at him through narrowed eyes.
"You said I could choose anywhere to sleep." He smirked.
"I didn't mean-" You sighed, not feeling like arguing. "Whatever." You blushed slightly. "We need to get up, I have things to do."
As you started to get up, he sat up as well, stretching. "Like what?"
"I want to head to the mall." You stated. "They recently came out with some new games and I want to check them out."
"I'm up for that." He grinned.

As you walked through the mall, you noticed several girls eyeing Toby. Which, to your surprise, made you feel a bit uneasy.
You refused to believe you were jealous. No, you shouldn't be jealous. You'd only just met him.
Toby on the other hand was completely oblivious to the looks he was getting. He was more focused on looking around at the stores you passed.
"You act like you've never been to a mall before." You smirked, trying to start a conversation to keep yourself distracted from the other girls.
"I haven't." He looked at you. "I rarely go anywhere anymore."
"Why's that?"
"Too busy." He said hesitantly.
"Do your parents make you do a lot of chores or something?" You frowned. You hated chores. Good thing you didn't have to do very many.
You mainly had to keep your room clean, do your own laundry, and a few other small things.
"Um," he looked away. "Yeah. That." His voice seemed hesitant as if he was trying to hide something.
You were going to ask him more, but decided it was best not to.
Instead, you led the way to Gamestop, staying quiet the rest of the way.
The clerk behind the counter looked as if he was in cosplay, but he wore normal clothes. He was about your height, with red eyes (which, you assumed were contacts) and slightly pointed ears.
His hair was a dirty blonde color, and it was slightly messy.
He wore a slight grin as you two walked in, and you noticed Toby stiffen beside you.
"Hey, Toby." The clerk threw his hand up.
"Since when did you have a job?" Toby growled, seeming a bit shocked and irritated.
"Since today." The clerk shrugged. "I thought I'd try it out."
"You know each other?" You looked to Toby and then the blonde-haired clerk.
"Uh, yeah.." Toby muttered.
"So this is her?" The blonde stared at you with interest. "Nice to finally meet you... In person anyways." He had an evil glint in his eyes.
An uncomfortable feeling filled your stomach. Did he know you somehow?
Toby gave him another glare, before looking at you. "Pick out a game and let's go." He had an irritated tone, but you didn't question him. The clerk was beginning to scare you anyways.
As you looked around the store, Toby walked to the clerks desk and was talking in a low voice to him.
You thought you'd heard your own name mentioned once or twice, but you paid it no mind.
You picked out (favorite game), which you'd been wanting for quite a while now, and walked up next to Toby, who gave you a small smile.
As you handed the game to the clerk, he gave you an interested look. "Nice choice~ I think you and I would get along nicely."
You blushes lightly and rolled your eyes. Beside you, Toby let out an irritated huff.
"I'll pay for it," Toby said as you began to get some money out of your wallet.
"No," you glared at him. "You're not wasting your money on me."
"It won't be wasting it." He argued.
"How about this," the clerk leaned forward. "You both pay for half of it."
You glanced at Toby, who shrugged.
"Alright." You decided.
When you both had put in half of the money, you left, saying goodbye to the clerk.
"Thanks for helping out." You said to Toby, who smiled.
"No problem." He stated simply.
"So you knew the clerk?" You looked at him curiously.
"Yeah, his name is Ben." Then, he added in a frustrated tone, "He's a huge flirt."
"I noticed." You sighed.
"Anywhere else you want to go?"
You two went to a few more stores, before heading back to your house.
It was about 4pm when you got back, and you were feeling quite satisfied. You had been able to spend time with Toby, which was better than really getting anything from the mall.
Maybe your friendship would last for a long time to come.
