Today was another health day in gym. We were held in a classroom and placed beside our partners. Dinah brought her notebook out and wrote the date.
"Alright, since you've gotten to know your partner a little better, we are going to spend the rest of the semester writing about them." Ms. Parker announced.
"Yes I know, sounds creepy and not exactly like health, but in ways it is. Learning about someone and the things that make them, them, teaches you about a person physically, emotionally and mentally." Mrs. Parker walks around the classroom as she speaks.
I look over at Dinah's open notebook and see her doodling hearts around the page. "I want you to at least once every week get together and do something. Learn something about each other. Learn the good and bad parts." With that the bell rang and everyone began to pack up.
"How about Thursday?" Dinah held her notebook close to her chest with her backpack hanging off her shoulders.
"That works for me. You like fro-yo?" Dinah smiled at the mention of the frozen treat and nodded her head. "Thursday it is then."
I parted ways and walked down the halls towards the cafeteria when my books were knocked out of my hands. I heard giggles as I began to pick them back up.
"Sorry, kicking my books out of my hands isn't going to make me cry." I huff out as I turn to Kylie and her crew. Her arms are crossed as she glares at me.
"You seem to be hanging out with Camila a lot, a little too friendly. Want to explain that?" My eyes widened, but I quickly changed my facial expression.
"I don't have to explain anything to you. But I didn't realize hanging with my friend was a crime." I shoot back.
"You seem a little bit more than just friends." Kylie prods. I rolled my eyes. But on the inside I was terrified. If she outed me before I even figured out myself that was it. I was over.
"Just like how you and Taylor seem a little too close." Camila comes up with her arms crossed and looks that could kill.
Camila gestured to Taylor who had her hand on Kylie's shoulder and was standing very close to her. With that said she retracted herself away from Kylie.
Kylie just huffed and walked away with her crew. Once they were far away way enough Camila turned to stand in front of me. "Are you okay?" Her eyes flashed concern.
I nodded. "I'm fine. Thanks for stepping in." I smile. Camila puts her arm on my shoulder. "Of course."
We walked to the cafeteria together when I got a thought. "Hey, can I ask you something?"
Camila stopped walking. "Sure, what's up?" I look around to make sure no one was listening in.
"Would you...want to--you don't have to say yes but-" Camila giggled and held my hand.
"Spit it out, Y/N." I look at the ground and blush. I wasn't good with this type of stuff.
"Would you like to maybe go on another date?" I spur out. Camila's eyes widen lightly, soon she blushes like my face is right now.
Then she smiled widely. "I'd love to! When?"
"Tomorrow?" I suggest.
Camila nods and kisses my cheek before covering her mouth almost immediately after. "Oh god I'm so sorry." She apologizes.
"It's fine, uh, I'll see you tomorrow then?"
"Yes." With that Camila walks into the cafeteria and over to her friends.
I walked in moments after and to my friends. They only gave me open mouthed looks, besides Lauren, meaning they just saw what happened outside.
"Talk. Now." Normani says.
