Stay Away From My Friends (Chapter Eighteen)

I get out of the car and walk towards Jasmine. I'm first tackled by a few guys. I see her push a bandana around my eyes.

"Especially for you, Ash," she says and plants a kiss on my lips. I bite her lip hard and spit in her face.

I hear Taz scream.

"He doesn't love you, you bitch!"

I hear a loud scream before we're pushed into the van.

"Ashton? Calum? Is that you guys?"

"Do you think she'll take Niall? She could easily scare him," Cal asks us.

I feel Niall land on our legs. He's crying and I think he's having a panic attack.

"Niall. She won't hurt you. She only really wants me and Taz. I touch his hand a bit as he backs into the corner.

"I knew I shouldn't have come this way. I'm sorry about it. I'M SORRY!"

"Blame Ashton for having the crazy ex," Calum jokes.

"And what about Maddie? She's crazy for dating you," I tease back.

"Me and her stayed friends, actually. Things didn't work out romantically for us."

I feel Niall go limp on my legs.

"Is he... dead?" Taz asks. I feel her kick him slightly.

"HEY! KIDNAPPER! NIALL'S DEAD!" She screams.

"SHUT UP!" a loud voice yells back.

"Sheesh. I was just telling you."

The van comes to a stop suddenly. The door slides open. They drag Taz and Calum first. Then me.

I'm pushed into a warehouse and into a room.

"Hello Ashton."

The bandana is pulled away from my eyes. I squint at the flash of light.

"Ash? Remember me?"

"Jazz..." is all I say. "You kidnapped me?"

"It's the only way to get your attention."

"Are you crazy?!" I yell. "You made Niall have a panic attack and pass out! Calum is scared and my girlfriend wants to dump me to save our lives. Literally!"

"You don't love her, Ash. Not like you loved me. You still love me!"

"You'll find someone better than me. Trust me. There's no point trying to find the future in the past, it won't work."

She bursts into tears.

"I love you, Ash! Why can't you see it?" she screams. Her eyeliner starts running down her face.

I sigh. "I loved you, too. Loved. The time we had was great but it's time to move on."

"You'll regret this! I swear to god I will make it happen!"

I'm about to speak but she shuts the door in my face. I go to open it but its locked.

A few hours later, she returns with some guys.

"Ash," she begins. "That slut you call your girlfriend has cheated on you with your best friend and you still date her? What did I do to you?"

"Nothing! You did nothing! I still love you!" I yell. "I was getting jealous of the guys having girls and I knew I couldn't get you back."

What the fuck was I doing? It seemed like a good idea when it came out my mouth. Maybe she'll let us go and we can run for our lives... maybe...

"I knew it! I still love you. I always did. I just thought you hated me."

I kiss her face until I reach her lips. I passionately kissed her. There's no going back now.

"You've gotta let Niall, Calum and Taz go. It's not their fault."

"That bitch," she says. "I wish I tortured her."

"I know," I lie.

She unlocks the door and takes my hand.

"Lets tell her. It'd break her."

I know Taz will know I'm lying. I think so anyway.

She opens another door before I see Taz sitting down.

"Ash? Ash? WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU HOLDING HANDS WITH HER? DON'T YOU LOVE ME?" She screams.

"You were just a toy. I felt sorry for you," I tell her emotionlessly.

She breaks down, screaming and crying.

"We're gonna go now, you can come with us if you'd want to," Jasmine says. Taz runs out, running away. I don't know if she knew I was lying or not. We get Cal and Niall and leave.

As soon as we're out I karate chop her in the neck. She screams out in pain. I push her away and she falls to the floor.

"Leave me, my friends and my family alone. If I ever see your ugly ass face again I will seriously report you to the police and put you in jail."

"But you said you love me?" she yells back at me.

"No, I said I loved you. You wouldn't take no for an answer so I lied!"

I walk away from her, with Calum and Niall following.

"You'll regret this! I'll make it happen!"

I hear her crying as I walk away. I have no idea where I'm going but I'm not staying near that psychopath.

We reach a road name before we call a taxi to go back to the hotel.

"Am I dreaming?" Cal asks me. His pinching himself repeatedly.

"No. That really did happen."

I sigh as I go to open the door. Michael and Taz are sitting on the sofa, watching some Disney movie.

"Hey guys," I yell to them. Michael just nods, as if to tell us to not disturb them. I hear him scream and hide behind a pillow.

"No, PUT HIM BACK IN THE OCEAN!" He screams. He's obviously watching nemo as he's always hated that part.

I slide down by Taz. She seems to move away from me a bit.

"You did know I was lying about Jasmine though?" I ask her. She just shrugs.

"Taz... You wouldn't think I'd still love her? I'm too much in love with you for anyone to come between us."

She smiles still, just looking at the floor.

"Come here."

I embrace her in a hug.

"Ashton?" she says. "You're a douche."
