chapter 7

xavier's pov

i stand up off the bed and run a hand through my hair

"i need to go talk to my mom" i say rubbing my face

she nods her head, stands up and hugs me

i wrap my arms around her tiny frame and then pull away

i go out the door and down the hall to my parents room

the door is open, so i walk in and see my mom at her desk writing in a notebook

"mom?" is all i say before she turns around with tears in her eyes

i look at her and feel tears gather in mine as well

i walk over to her quickly and hug her. she buries her face in my chest and starts sobbing

i feel tears streaming down my face as i hug her

she stops crying after a few minutes and looks up at me

"im guessing your dad told you everything" she says with a shaky breath

i nod my head and wait for her to continue

"i'm going to fight as long as i can, but son you know i'm not the strongest" she says with a small laugh

i give her a small smile and nod my head

"mom i'm so thankful for you and everything you do. if there's anything i can do to help you or make things easier for you, please let me know" i say with a smile

she nods her head as my dad walks in the room and smiles at us

i nod at him before turning and walking out

i go back down the hall to my room and don't see britney

i smell her scent down the hall and follow it

i notice she's in katie's room so i walk in

they're sitting on the ground talking about makeup and laughing with each other

"well this is cute" i say before laughing

katie snatches her head up at me and rolls her eyes as she turns her attention back to britney

i hear someone walking behind me so i turn around and see my dad

"katie, me and your mom need to talk to you please" he says glancing over at me

i nod my head as britney walks over to me and takes my hand

we walk back down the hall to our room as i walk in the door with her trailing behind me

i close the door as she walks in as she stands there leaning against the wall

i look at her in the eyes before putting my hand on her cheek

she leans against it and gives me a small smile

"i'm fixing to do something i've wanted to do ever since i met you" i say to her

she nods her head as i slowly lean in and connect my lips with hers

she gasps at first and then moved her lips in sync with mine

i put my hands on her waist as we deepen the kiss and move closer together

she runs her hands through my hair as we pull apart gasping for hair

my lips are tingling after the sensational kiss

"wow" is all i manage to breathe out

she looks at me with the same expression and smiles

"that was amazing" she says putting a hand on her lips

i smile at her before picking her up and wrapping her legs around me

i coach my lips on hers again and walk us over to my bed

she runs her hands through my hair and gently tugs on it

i moan into her mouth before slowly pulling away from her lips and trailing kisses down her neck

i softly kiss the spot where i will mark her as she shivers

i smirk against her skin before pulling away and looking at her in the eyes

"not yet princess. soon, but not yet" i say with a smile

she nods her head and unwraps her legs from around my waist

we go and lay on my bed together and snuggle up to one another

we were halfway through a movie when there's a knock on my door

i groan before standing and opening it to see kyle standing there

"what's going on man?" i ask running a hand through my hair

"dude my dad told me about your mom. what can i do?" he asks me with a sad expression on his face

"there's not much anyone can do. did my dad say when he was going to tell the pack?" i ask shaking my head

"sometime tonight. i don't know when" he said with a small smile

"i don't want to be here when he does. i already told him that" i tell him before looking back at britney

her eyes are closed so i'm guessing she's asleep and not paying any attention to us

"does she know?" kyle asks nodding towards her

i nod with a small smile on my face

"man i don't want to be here when he tells everyone. let's go to the lake house or something. bring her because she don't need to have that kind of sadness right now either" he says looking over at her

"youre right man. pack some clothes. we're gonna stay there tonight" i say looking over at him

he nods his head before standing up and walking out of the room

i go back over to britney as her eyes flutter open when i lay beside her

she looks over at me with a worried expression as i smile at her

"princess, you, me and kyle are going to the lake house tonight. we don't want to be here when my dad tells the pack about my mom" i tell her as i kiss her forehead

"how long are we staying?" she asks with a smile

"probably for the night. you and me can go back whenever we want" i say smiling at her. "were probably going to leave soon so we need to pack. do you have a swim suit?"

she nods and stands up to grab her bag and start packing

after a few minutes, we both have our bags packed and start walking down the stairs

kyle is already outside loading his truck up as we throw our stuff in the back

"we're gonna bring my truck too. we'll meet you over there" i say to him as he gets in the drivers seat

he nods his head before starting the truck and going down the driveway

"i told my dad when you were packing that we were going. are you ready to leave?" i ask turning and looking at her

she nods her head and walks over to my truck and jumping in the passenger seat

i get in the drivers seat, start the truck, and pull out of the pack house

i take her hand and start driving down the street

hopefully tonight will make everything better
