Heading out the door my phone goes off showing a text from Johnny.
Johnny 😁 ~ hey sorry but I'm not coming to school, decided to ditch with Hayden. Is that okay?
I sigh and swipe left beginning to move my fingers typing
Me~ yeah! Have fun. Text me later :)
I turn my phone off and drop it back into my back pocket. Sometimes I lau was wonder how Johnny thinks he'll make it through life and school when he's ditching all the time.

"Don't tell me you like him Mackenzie Ziegler!?" Brynn shouts more mad than shocked. I felt my eyes bulged widen and my face heat up.
Kind of....
"What!? No! Of course not" I lift my head facing her and see her face full of disbelief. I swallow awkwardly and nervous shifting my eyes across the room.
"Guys I'm serious. He's just a friend..." I mumble the last part as I poke my fork into my grape and stick it into my mouth. Brynn sighs and leans forward onto the table more. I slowly take the fork out of my mouth and look at her like she just kissed her brother.
"Mackenzie just listen to us. You shouldn't be hanging around that boy. He's bad news. Your mom knows it, we know it and we know you do too." I mean she's not totally wrong. But she can't always be worrying about me. He's nothing like they think.
Maybe he's a bad boy but why can't I be friends with one?
"Brynn don't worry about me. He's not even that bad." I smile looking down st my plate poking things with my fork. I could see Brynn roll her eyes at me to Ruby. Ruby sighs and picks her tray up swinging her legs over the bench and standing up to throw it away leaving the two of us.
"Okay then where is your little "not so bad" friend...?" She crosses her arms raising an eyebrow knowing the answer to the question and most importantly knowing she's right.
I sigh and set my palms on the table in front of me and push down lifting my self up and swinging each leg behind me over the bench pushing my tray to Brynn as I walk away.
I was just disappointed and upset that my two bestfriends won't support me. Maybe Johnny is a little bad... but they judge too quickly, their always like that. I-I guess I'm just feeling betrayed, I never really get angry.
Is it going to be Brynn & Ruby or Johnny?
My bestfriends since 3rd grade it some guy I met 3 weeks ago....
