Mackenzie
I let the last piece of my hair fall out of around the wand and down my back. I usually curled my hair everyday. It was always down wavy. I pushed the silicone button down turning it off as I set it on my vanity.
I stood up pulling the plastic lid off of my perfume. I pushed down on the nozzle and sprayed my perfume all over me setting it right back down popping the lid back on.
I picked up my black backpack and headed out the door. It's been 2 months since I started school here. I've been homeschooled my whole life considering the fact that I dance everyday for like 15 hours.
But I decided I needed to have a normal life. Me and my sister have been dancing our whole life. We didn't really have any time outside of dance to socialize. I didn't have a normal life.
We moved when I was 12 and that's when me and Maddie decided we wanted to go to public school. Our house was kind of big. I don't know, I don't consider it a mansion but my fri mds say it's huge.
It's always clean with my mom cleaning the house everyday. The blankets are always folded nicely in a basket beside the couches, the pillows are placed spaced out, floors are cleaned. The house was very new modeled and very bright. There were a lot of white and grey furniture and walls.
---------------------------------------------------
"Kenzie....? Kenzie!?"
I shoot my head up to see my friends giving me stares. All exchanging the same looks to each other bringing them back to me. I must have been off in some sort of daze.
"Sorry.. w-what!?" I ask shaking it off like nothing happened. Brynn, my best friend shakes her head while laughing. I guess I was funny...? She turns to ruby with a smile. What is happening?
"What's up Mackenzie?" Ruby leans closer to me. She sounded very concerned. I mean I was fine but something was just crossing my mind. I shake my head in denial laughing.
"It's nothing." I chuckle. Looks between them two made there way to each other than at me again. We knew each other too well that when I say it's 'nothing' they always suspect something. I spend way to much time with them.
"Its not just nothing. What's going on Mackenzie? Your quieter than usual." Brynn chuckles making me lightly smile. More of a smirk. I sigh and turn my head to a table right across from ours.
"It's just..." I turn my head back to ruby and Brynn dropping it down towards the table... "why doesn't any one talk to the "bad boys" I use my fingers making parenthesis. They widen their eyes and give me a look.
I think they were pretty thrown off at what I said. It's just been bothering me. Of course I wouldn't want to go and talk with them because you know their bad, they don't get good grades, their mean bitches, their players. Everything about them is bad
My mom would never allow me to act like that. I wouldn't want to be like that. Their kind of scary. I mean no one ever talks to them and if they try they get teased. There was one girl in particular.
Sophia Rose.
She had a crush on 2 of them. She tried to go over and become part of their group just to get them to like her but they didn't give her a chance and they started to tease her. She still tries to get in the group.
But maybe they aren't as bad as they seem...?
"Mackenzie are you out of their mind. Those aren't the people you want to mess with. Your mom would kill you if she found out you even came in eye contact with one of them. Their better off on their own." Ruby argues placing a hand on my shoulder. I sigh and give one last look when I'm out off guard with one boy turning around.
He quickly glances his head back. He had dirty blonde hair spiked up how every boy had their hair done in that group. He had perfect sparkling green eyes. We happened to make eye contact just as I turned my head for the last time. My cheeks heated up and I could tell my whole face was red.
I quickly turn my head neck down towards the table. Was he still staring? I keep my head down but shift my eyes up and he was still staring. A part of me wanted to smile but I couldn't. I can't be messin with that boy. He's dangerous.
His friend grabs his shoulder pushing him back towards his friends on the other side of his table. "Hey maybe we can invite them to my party" I ask questioning it and popping my head back up
Now his back was facing me. He had a black shirt on with ripped tight je-
"THERES NO WAY YOUR MOM WOULD LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE!. Do you really think they would show up at some princesses house?" Ruby rolls her eyes playfully. I chuckle looking down at my fruit. I just play with it poking it with my fork.
"I'm not a princess" I laugh rolling my eyes. Everyone calls me that. I guess it's my nickname. Everyone thinks I look like one and my life is like a fairy tale. But it's not. I worry, I get hurt, I don't find true love, I never have.
I don't think I ever will.
