Book One- I Don't Understand

Felix walked into Sam's room where Jack was pacing back and forth. The sound of the door knob turning made him whirl around and swiftly yet gently take Sam out of Felix's arms and hold her in his. Her arms are completely bandaged and we're beginning to stain a small bit. He walked over to a beanbag and sat down, putting Sam in his lap. She moved her head and put her face in the crook of his neck. She gave him a small kiss making them blush. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "You told me not to mess with the scabs and.. and I did."
Jack closed his eyes and leaned his head against hers. "It's ok. Just please don't do that ever again."
She inhaled deeply and sighed. "Jack.. I heard it. I heard it all. You.. you were screaming my name.. you were sobbing and yelling.. you told me you were gonna come get me.."
Jack's face went pale. "A-and?"
"How can you love me so much? I'm worthless."
"No.. no you're not worthless! Sam I.. I love you. I really do and now that we are siblings I want to be here for you even more than I was before."
Sam chuckled. "Jack.. promise me one thing."
"Anything."
She slightly opened her hands, wincing. Jack placed his in hers and interlocked fingers. "Please.. please stay by my side.. please don't leave.. please.."
Jack kissed her cheek. "I promise."
"Does that mean we can possibly share a room together?"
Jack nodded. "Yes. I was wanting to do that, anyways."
"We went from friends to siblings. How crazy is that?"
Jack chuckled. "That is kinda crazy."
Sam yawned, her hot breath hitting Jack's neck. He opened his mouth and whispered a slight moan at the feeling. "S-Sam.. I'll go unpack your things, ok?"
Sam nodded and was placed in her bed. "Get some sleep, ok?" Jack said. Sam nodded. "Just one more thing?"
Jack smiled. "Yes?"
"C-can you possibly sleep with me tonight.. in the same bed.. I um.. I.. I want you to be next to me while I heal."
Jack turned around and saw Mark and Felix whispering in the far corner of the room. He turned back and smiled down at Sam. "Yes. I'll do that for you."
She giggled and smiled. "Thanks, Jack."
Jack smiled and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
Jack walked over to Felix and Mark. "Hey.. um.. thanks for helping Sam," Jack said, rubbing the back of his neck. Felix smiled and placed a hand on Jack's shoulder. "No problem. I need her to be healthy. She won't be able to work for at least another three days so, you'll be doing all the work."
Jack cocked his head. "Huh?"
Mark and Felix looked at Jack, towering above him. "You two are our slaves, remember?"
Jack placed his hands together. "That's illegal. You can't make us slaves."
Mark smiled, "Who said we abide by the law?"
