„Abuse of Alcohol and other substances?" Dr. Min read and looked down at Yeolhee. It has been one year since King Yeolhee had been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and since then her visits to the hospitals had become more frequent with her hurting herself or drowning herself in alcohol.
The twenty-two-year-old woman looked at her doctor and sighed. „I'm sorry." She mumbled looking at the bruises on her wrists. „With what did you hit yourself this time?" Dr. Min asked lifting Yeolhee's face to expose a giant bruise on the right side of her face. „Baseball bat," Yeolhee answered making Dr. Min let out a tired breath. „Why did you do that, Yeolhee?" The doctor asked and Yeolhee looked down. „I was feeling angry at myself for not going to the job interview," Yeolhee answered, still not looking at her psychotherapist. „And why didn't you go to the job interview?"
„Because I was crying. I had an Episode of Sadness the morning of the interview day and couldn't get out of bed. Later I realized I missed the Job Interview and hated myself. I beat myself up and drank Alcohol. I vomited." Yeolhee told Dr. Min. „Yerim found me and called the Ambulance and here I am. Once again." Yeolhee looked up and Dr. Min furrowed her brows. „Did you take the medication?"
„I don't want to stuff drugs into myself."
„You need to take them so your mood changes aren't that drastic, Yeolhee. Stop being stubborn." Dr. Min said agitated and sighed. „I want you to stay for at least until the end of the week. The cut on your shoulder has to get treated and I want you to be supervised. You need to take the medicine!" The doctor said and Yeolhee bowed, watching Dr. Min leave her room.
After the doctor left, Yeolhee hugged her knees and looked at her hands. She felt empty, knowing an Episode was creeping up on her from behind like they always did. Yeolhee didn't want to upset Dr. Min but she couldn't take the medicine. She didn't want to take it.
Yeolhee's best friend Cha Yerim tried to force her to take the medications which caused the two girls to have a fight. In the end, Yerim managed to make Yeolhee take her medicine.
Yeolhee looked around in her hospital room and sighed. Then she climbed out of the bed and into her slippers. The hospital pajama of the psychological ward was white with light blue squares printed all over it. Everyone knew that the color of the psychological ward was light blue so if she would walk around the hospital everyone knew she was a „Psycho". But sitting in her room all day was almost killing her.
She quickly left her room, kicking dust with her slippers while looking at the other patients. Some of them were screaming, scaring her. But soon Yeolhee walked into the lobby, where a young man was dragging another young man behind.
Yeolhee tilted her head. „We need help!" The young man with the dark hair and fox-like features called but the nurses all seemed to be busy. „My friend can't breathe!" The young man repeated and Yeolhee saw the face of the other man slowly turning blue.
Yeolhee quickly ran into the Emergency Room, sawing a male nurse eating a Sandwich. The man had <Kim Jonghyun> on his name tag and was laughing about a skit that was playing on his phone. „Excuse me? There is a man that needs help in the foyer." Yeolhee called and the nurse looked up. Scanning the color of her squares he chuckled, not taking Yeolhee's words seriously. „Please! He's dying!" Yeolhee let out, feeling anger burning her from the inside.
‚Not know', she begged her body and walked closer to the Nurse that still ignored her. „Please!" She let out once more, but after Kim Jonghyun continued to ignore her she simply turned around and ran back to the lobby.
Fox-man and his friend were already on the floor, the injured person, wheezing.
„I help you!" Yeolhee bravely blurted out and knelt down next to Fox-man and helped him pull up the almost unconscious man. Yeolhee felt the Fox-man's eyes on her but she ignored him, diligently carrying the patient towards the Emergency Room.
Kim Jonghyun was still munching on his sandwich when he heard the voice of the Psycho-girl once more. Turning around he saw the patient of the Psychological ward carrying an unconscious person together with another male. Jonghyun choked and stood up from his chair, calling another nurse and carrying the unconscious man to a bed. The older nurse, Jonghyun had called, took a quick glance at the patient before giving him an adrenaline shot.
„Is your friend allergic to anything?" Jonghyun asked Fox-man but Fox-man only shook his shoulders. „We were eating Udon, and a friend of mine made a special menu for us. And after eating it, he started wheezing and his tongue started swelling." Fox-man explained and Yeolhee watched them from afar, hiding behind a curtain, too afraid to make a sound.
„Is he going to make it?" Yeolhee asked herself, watching the patient when Fox-man's face appeared right in front of her.
He was tall and slender built. Yeolhee looked away from his intense gaze that suddenly turned really soft. He tilted his head like a young puppy would do and gave Yeolhee the softest smile she had ever seen in years. Her heart leaped for a moment.
„Thank you. Without you helping us Jaehwan would have died out there." Fox-man said and held his hand towards Yeolhee. „Hwang Minhyun." He introduced himself and a warm shiver went down Yeolhee's back. „Kang Yeolhee." She answered, taking his hand in hers and shaking it.
Minhyun smiled and looked at her hospital gown. „I hope you'll get well soon, Yeolhee-sshi." He smiled before turning around to his friend that had a normal colored face now.
